Vehicle Detail

Up for sale is my 1984 Chevy Silverado K10 4x4. I had planned on keeping this truck forever, but I just don't use it anymore and I need the space in my garage. When I bought the truck in 1997, it was in good shape and has been garage kept and babied since then. The truck was rust free when I bought it, but needed new paint and mechanical work so I decided to start from scratch and redo most everything. It went through a frame off restoration about 10 years ago and has been a Sunday driver ever since. Here is a brief list of work done and I have most of the receipts for this. Body was professionally painted with ppg paint. I sanded and sprayed the rolling chassis with industrial grade black paint. A new factory crate 350 was installed by the dealer as well as a new 700 r4 transmission. Rebuilt 208 transfer case. Performance upgrades to the engine include:Edelbrock intake and CarbDoug Thorley ceramic coated headersNew 4 Core radiator The axles were completely rebuilt with 4:11 gears and there is a lock right locker in the rear. A 4 inch Rancho suspension lift was installed with rs9000 shocks. Tires are 33x16.50 Dick Cepeks on 12" chrome rims. The brake system was completely gone through and everything was replaced - Power booster, master cylinder, calipers, hoses etc. I have put approximately 15k miles on it since the resto. I know this sounds like very little over 12 years, but I used the truck mostly as a weekend driver. I don't drive it much any more b/c I've gotten into biodiesel and am now making my own fuel. It has been sitting in my garage for the past two years and I only drive it a couple times a month to keep the battery charged and running well. There are a few minor things the truck needs:The AC needs to be chargedThe fuel tank switching valve needs to be replaced. It has a small leak in it on the passenger tank. The drivers side is fine so I solely use that tank. There is a quarter size chip in the paint on the hood. No bare metal is exposed so I've left it alone. There are also a few rock chips on the rocker panels. The truck still looks and runs good. These old square body Chevys are getting harder and harder to find in good shape. If properly maintained they will only increase in value over time. I want to see this truck go to a good home and to someone who will enjoy as much as I have. If you have any questions or would like to see more pictures please email me at mattsoriente@hotmail.com and I will be happy to help. If you are a serious buyer and would like to discuss anything in detail over the phone email me and I will send you my phone #. SERIOUS BUYERS ONLY!!!! Don't waste my time or yours. On Feb-17-12 at 05:51:56 PST, seller added the following information: One thing that is fairly important that I forgot to inlcude: After swapping in the 4.11 gears when the axles were rebuilt the speedometer reads far faster than the actual speed. I never bother getting it calibrated. In turn the odometer show more miles than are actually on the truck. I have it documented when I swapped the new gears in. Doing the math there have been 15, 418 miles put on the truck since the swap. The odometer currently reads 75,107. I believe that to calibrate the speedo all that is needed is to change the small gear that attaches to the speedometer housing on the tcase. I will check into it an post up what i find. If I can buy the part at the dealer I will go ahead and fix it. Also wanted to mention that I have another set of brand new Dick Cepek tires. They are the same tire and size (33x16.50) that are currently on the truck. I give the buyer the option to purchase them for what I paid for them which was $750. Thats half of what they cost new. I also have a set of 12" black wheels that are the same as the chorme ones on the truck. I will sell those for $200.
