For anyone who is interested in a project such as this one, I am reluctantly putting up for sale a right hand drive Subaru wagon. Rebuilt engine, new shocks and struts, new master cylinder (which was challenging as a specific master cylinder for right hand drive vehicles is required). Now for the not-so-impressive aspects: the car needs new brake calipers, a new starter, and someone to sort out the dashboard lights. I've been meaning to fix these issues; however, with a brand new baby girl and a demanding job, I'm finding it difficult to devote continued time to this project. The car has suffered some minor body damage (hasn't stopped me from loving it), but the term 'minor' is relative, so I would encourage anyone looking at the car him/herself to make that personal decision. At any rate, anyone who decides to purchase this car will need to hire a trailer/tow truck, as I would not recommend driving it with the calipers being the way they are. $1500 might seem a bit high for a used 1994 Subaru wagon in this state, but it's right hand drive, which makes it worth it. If you're looking to import right hand drive vehicle from overseas rather than buy my car, I can tell you it'll be easier and cheaper purchasing and repairing this vehicle than dealing with customs agents, shipping fees, taxes, etc... Once on the road, it could make a great postal vehicle for anyone who delivers on rural routes, and if you're not a postal carrier, it's still a great car especially when it comes to getting a laugh when other motorists freak out seeing your friend asleep in the passenger's seat while you're cruising down the highway. I also forgot to mention it's all wheel drive, and it handles snow like a dream...on the rare occasions we even get any snow around here.
