Vehicle Detail
I'm putting up for sale my 2003 Lancer Evolution VIII. I have been the owner of the car now for 3 years and am making the move to an Evo X so I will need to part ways with my current one. While the odometer reads 94xxx miles, the car received a motor swap when I purchased it. The new motor has roughly 17000 miles on it and has full documentation to prove that it's a new motor. As for vehicle history, I've owned it since 2009 and in that time I've only had one incident. Last winter I spun on some ice and slid into a snow bank. As a result the front bumper cover was damaged and professionally replaced and repainted through my insurance provider. I'm not a do it yourselfer so all work done to this vehicle outside of the in dash dvd player has been done by professionals. Basic Features: Power Locks and Windows AC/Heat in excellent working order Sliding Sunroof CD Player The car has quite a few mods and is ready for some fun. The mods are: 2.4L Slowboy block Stage 1 head with 280/280 Brian Crower cams. Full 3.5" Megan Turboback Exhaust ACT 2900 6 Puck Clutch Injen Cold Air Intake Injen Upper Intercooler Pipe HKS SSQV Blow Off Valve 4" AGP Intercooler Grimmspeed Boost Controller Tuned by Benchmark Tuning in Chicago, IL by the owner himself, Mike. I have Dyno sheets as well. It dynoed at 292.6awhp with 273.7 torque on 15lbs of boost. There is going to be A LOT of power with a turbo upgrade. The car also has brand new tires with less than 300 miles on them. (Have reciepts for them) There is a flip up dvd player in the car that I will leave for an extra 200$ otherwise it will come with the stock cd player. Also for an extra 350$ I will include a Carbon Fiber trunk and spoiler that I have not installed yet. The exterior is unchanged from stock except for a carbon fiber exhaust shield. The car has minor nicks and scratches as to be expected from an 9 year old paint job. Nothing that couldnt be fixed on the cheap if you were inclined to fix them. As with any 9 year old car, there are a few bad things to be mentioned: Firstly, the 6 puck clutch chatters. Its doesnt affect the grip of the clutch, just a sound at idle. Second, The drivers side window motor is acting up. The window rolls down to the half way mark just fine and back up just fine, but when it goes all the way down, its slow to go back up. Third, on the passenger side front door panel, the cloth has come away from the panel on the edge slightly. Fourth, The carbon fiber on the stock wing is pretty bad. It would need a rewrap to be repaired or painted over along with the brake calipers. Finally, the HVAC control knob for switching between heat and AC is sticky. It can be turned manually from the gear that the cable drives no problem but the knob its self wont switch it from heat to ac. (The heat and AC themselves work great). Overall it has been a great car and I wish I didn't have to let it go but I need the money for my next Evo. It's fast and fun to drive as it is but for anyone looking to take this car to the next level, the foundation is there for a monster. I'd rate this car at: Mechnically 9/10 Interior 8/10 (Some wear but no rips and the passenger door panel) Exterior 7/10 (It has its share of minor nicks and chips to be expected with a 9 year old paint job and 1 minor dent about as long as a penny and as wide as a pencil eraser) Overall 8/10 I do currently have a loan out on this vehicle so I will have a bill of sale and keys ready for the buyer. The title will be sent by myself or the bank to winning bidder ASAP. More pictures are available for those who request them. Local pickup only unless buyer would like to pay for all costs and handle all procedures associated with shipping. $500 deposit due within 48 hours of auctions end or the car will be relisted. Serious buyers only. After Having nearly a month of my time wasted, buyer needs to have funds ready to go before hand, not after. No trades.
