Vehicle Detail

SORRY FOLKS!! EBAY CANCELED MY LISTING BECAUSED I MENTIONED OTHER MAKES AND MODELS IN MY DESCRIPTION. PLEASE DISREGARD MY NEWBIE MENTALITY. Economy forces the sale of my wife's cruiser. We bought this a few years ago so she could have something to drive around instead of my street rod. I hate to sell it but lack of $$$ forces the sale. 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu Convertible First and foremost, this car is a cruiser, it's not fast, sports the original gears in the 10 bolt open rearend and is great for just riding around with the family. I purchased 4 years ago from a guy in my area. He had done a passable paint job and cobbled a few other things together. We changed out the engine, trans, frontend parts, interior and did some other things just so we'd have a fun vehicle to mess around in. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED. Specs: 1967 Chevelle Malibu Convertible NEW ITEMS 350 ci 290HP GoodWrench Crate Motor New motor and frame mounts 650cfm Holley Carb Billet Specialties Plain valve covers Lokar KickDown Cable MSD Small Cap Distributor w/Blaster2 Coil Accel 8mm Super Stock Wires Stock Crate Engine Cam - .450 lift/222 Duration at .050 (Very mild cam, no lope at all) New Painless Engine Wiring Harness Hooker Headers (VHT paint wore off) Flowmaster Exhaust 2-1/2" mufflers and tailpipes (2" from header to muffler- was too loud for wife with full 2-1/2") Cragar Wheels, 15x6 front 15x8 rear New bushings, bearings, etc. on the entire front end, control arms, sway bar etc. I have the bushings to rebuild the rear control arms, they go with the car! New Monroe shocks on all 4 corners Power brakes (Disc Front, Drum Rear - Both ends brand new, maybe 1000 miles) Power Steering - Quick Ratio NOTE: A few words about the power steering and brakes. I hate the steering, feels too assisted to me, the wife likes it, so be it. I had a problem with the brakes and had a proportioning valve go out on me. Got a replacement and the brakes seem to need pumping when leaving the garage the first time out. Bench bled the entire system when it was replaced, but it still seems a little off. After pumping the brakes, it will put your nose to the windshield! Black Top - 2 years old (plastic rear window) 350 Turbo Automatic Transmission (new from Advance Auto) B&M Converter 2400 Stall B&M Shift Kit (of course drilled for Street/Strip - Will chirp the tires going into 2nd if you're wailing on it) Kugel Komponents shift linkage New Transmission Cooler New door panels and seat covers - Black 2 years old All the dashlights, convenience lights, taillights, headlights (HI/LO), backup lights, license light and gauges work except the clock. Good luck if you find an original clock that still works. The Frame is in GREAT shape. RADIO DOES NOT GO WITH CAR!! OLD STUFF THAT'S STILL GOOD The windows work great, no sticking, rocking or whatnot, vent wings seal good and work very easy, backseat windows work great also. The heater/blower works so well I can't stand it TOO WARM. Still has the kick panel vents and they work great, best air vents ever. Still has original radio but antenna is disconnected and it's only the AM version. Original keyset with locking gas cap goes with it. WHAT IT NEEDS This is NOT a show car. We drove it and the previous owner drove it ALOT. There are some items that need to be updated and/or fixed. All the cosmetics (except paint) are over 40 years old and show it a bit. All the chrome is original and could use replacement or rechroming. The moulding along the car needs new clips and reoriented. The grill is faded and could use freshening. It's missing the trunk chrome strip and the taillights have the usual rash. The top is a power top, but the pump does NOT work. It's there, but doesn't work and I've never tried to get it to work. It's easy enough just doing it manually. The hood, trunk, fenders (inner and outer) are in good shape. The doors are salvagable or maybe could use reskinning, inner doors are perfect, the quarters need some patches around the wheel well. The paint on the car now is amateurish, thin, no clear coat and lousy prep, but should sand off easily if you want to restore. At 35mph, looks decent enough. The floor is in great shape, except for the driver's side with a few pin holes. We never replaced the carpet and it's trashed. The weather stripping is old and cracked and the window fuzzies are mostly gone. A $1500 non-refundable deposit is due 48 hours after auction close. This car has a 100% clear title. Shipping is the entire responsibility of the buyer. All sales final, no refunds. If you would like to see car in person, please email me and we can make arrangements.
