Normal 0 Normal 0 Up for bid is a 1946 Dodge 1 1/2 Ton truck. This farm truck starts and runs good and can be used on a regular basis. Never abused, always maintained and in remarkable shape. It has a two speed rear end and can go 40 to 50 MPH safely.The original Spitfire engine runs good and always starts. The front tires were replaced recently with a couple spares on rims go with the truck.The outside rear tires have some side wall cracking but are certainly road worthy and have good tread. The generator was rebuilt last year and the original 6 volt positive ground system is still intact and working well. The only thing not original is the temp gauge. The seat upholstery was recently done and all the windows were replaced with safety glass. The front windshield frame was restored and even the windshield regulator works good. The headlights and running lights work good. The turn signals work when they want to and should be rewired. The steel fuel line was replaced last year and the tank was flushed, sealed and painted. The VIN is 81366641 T The serial number is 4112-171424. The truck measures 23 feet long bumper to bumper. The axles are 13ft 6in center to center. The cab is 7 feet tall. The removable top rack measures 9ft 2in. The front tires outside measurement is only 5ft 6inches wide. The rear tires outside measurement is 7ft 2in. However, for trailer hauling the rear outside tires can be removed and the outside measurement is only 5ft 3inches. This truck was bought new in Montana and has been here its whole life.
