1979 Honda XR

1979 Honda XR185. I am downsizing my collection of 1980s bikes. The engine has good compression and runs well. I changed the oil when I brought it in for the winter. The grips are worn / ready for replacement. The speedometer works. The lights work. The clutch works smoothly. The brakes work well. Front brake lever sticks a little bit when released. You may want to replace the cable but we used it with no issues. The gear sifter is slightly bent. Shifts through all gears. I changed the fork oil this fall when we brought it in for the winter. The muffler and head pipe are in good condition. This has a 80s Supertrapp exhaust on it. The gas tank has no rust in it. The gas tank as dents in it. The gas cap is slightly rusted. The rims and spokes look good. Spokes have some rust on them. Rear fender has been repaired - see picture. The chain guards are both there as is the chain tentioner. O ring chain and sprockets look good. The chain / sprocket cover is there. The side plates are both there and the right had side cover has been repaired. Left hand side has been painted. Seat is in excellent condition except for one of the bolts is broken for the seat bracket underneath - see picture. Kill switch plastic housing cracked but has been repaired and functions. The rear tire must be replaced by the next owner. It has chunks out of the knobs / some cut off and splits in the sidewall but is holding air. Tool bag is there - zipper ripped an kind of working - one button on bag not working other one missing. I do not know the mileage of the bike and thus entered 1 on the eBay form. I am selling this bike AS IS. I do not have a title for the bike. Please ask any questions before bidding. I am selling locally so I reserve the right to end this auction early.
