Up for sale is my 01 Ford F-150 with 175,422 miles on it. As you can see it is in ok shape with some issues. the reason I am selling it is because it does need some attention that I do not have the time nor desire to put into it. I purchased this truck from a friend roughly 4 years ago with 140,000 miles on it. As you can see in the photos it does have rust at the bottom of each door which is typical for Fords and also rust at the edge of the bed near the tailgate. This has always been a work truck since the beggining so by all means is NOT in perfect condition. Since I have purchased it, the following has been done to it: 1. Remote start installed 200.00 2. Magnaflow muffler welded on 150.00 3.SVT/Harley style headlights and corners 200.00 4. Headgasket L/R 1700.00 5. ball joints an control arm 518.28 6. Tint front driver/passenger window 70.00 7, front driver bearing, brakes, shields, and rotors 690.00 8. replace back sliding glass panel 9. replace rear pinion seal 139.00 10. tune up 460.99 11.replace two coil packs 320.00 12. replace 2 injectors/diagnosis 723.43 13. Mass airflow sensor 145.00 So as you can see I have put some work into it since I purchased it. Also, last year my catalytic converter was stolen off of it and I decided to take the less expensive way out and just put a straight pipe on it. It is louder than stock obviously because of the magnaflow and the pipe but not that bad. This truck will NOT pass Mass inspection because the engine light is on. Also, the ABS light comes on too sometimes but I was told that there might be some air in the brake lines and is an easy fix The problem I am having with it now is that the engine knocks/rattles and smokes sometimes. What is happening is that whenever I put any type of strain on the motor, like pull a utility trailer, "get on" the gas or simply go up a steep incline I start to hear a knock and smoke billows out the tailpipe. I took it to 3 Ford dealerships and the first 2 shops couldn't figure out what the problem was and the last dealership says he seems to think that it is the piston rings and seals. He said the motor is just "tired" and suggested rebuilding or simply replacing the motor. So like I said this does need work but runs well considering the issues I just spoke about. In my personal opinion I think this would be a good truck for someone who has the time to swap the motor out or rebuild. Other smaller issues with this truck is as follows: 1. A/C blows warm air. 2. latch for rear sliding window came unglued 3. drivers side door sometimes does not unlock with the button but will with key. 4. passenger window slides down slow due to a worn out gasket. 5. compass/temp guage on headliner does not work (easy fix) 6. bedliner has a couple of holes 7. steering wheel is worn. 8. plastic on back of front seats are scratched up. 9. driver seat has a small hole and some wear marks and seat behind passenger has a small hole. 10. typical dings and scratches on exterior. 11. Passenger/driver window tint is too dark in state of Mass. All in all this is a 11 year old work truck but is in decent condition.
