Vehicle Detail

1980 MGB Roadster with Overdrive!!! Here is an absolutely beautiful 1980 MGB roadster in a gorgeous Bright Red over a beautiful bespoke tan interior!!! This rust free MGB is in excellent shape and runs great and comes with lots of documentation including original owners manuals, original passport, original pre purchase inspection by the dealer when the car entered the country, original window sticker etc.. This beautiful car has also only traveled 56k miles since new!!! This car was lovingly owned and maintained by the previous owner for over two decades. The car has zero rust, having been sold new hear in Arizona, and is accident free. The car has been treated very well in its life having been regularly maintained and has also recently been upgraded with a custom quilted tan interior, high quality convertible top, a repaint in a gorgeous shade of red, clutch, brakes, new tires, battery, fuel pump, all fluids etc.. The car runs great and the bottom side is as clean as the top side. This beautiful MGB comes with desirable wire wheels and overdrive!!!! This is a hard combo to find on later rubber bumper Bs. Overall this is an excellent MGB that looks, runs and drives great!!! This is a great collectible classic that is surely to appreciate in value over the next several years and is a blast to drive!!! Click to enlarge Exterior: This MGB roadster looks great with its beautiful bright red paint and contrasting Black Top. It doesnt appear this car has ever been in an accident either. All of the metal on the car is solid and free of rust. As you can see from the detailed photos the car looks great. You could easily bring this car to your local weekend car show and show it with pride. The paint job is not a $15,000 dollar concours paint job, but it isnt a cheap tape and shoot paint job either. It appears much of the car was taken apart for the respray including the windshield, bumpers, lights, trim, top etc... The Convertible top is like new and is free of any rips and tears. The car was finished with new chrome side moldings and the bumpers are in very nice shape as well. This is one of the most solid and rust free MGBs I have ever come across. The car really does look great in person and turns heads everywhere it goes. Click to enlarge Interior: The bespoke interior of this classic British Sports Car is new and in excellent condition. The beautiful seats look beautiful and are very supportive since the seats were treated to new foam when reupholstered. The seats were custom stitched to mimic the classic British cars of the past. The red stitching contrasts nicely with tan upholstery. I get compliments on the interior all of the time!!! All of the gauges and lights work. Even the clock works!!! The door panels are beautiful and match the seats. The carpet is in great shape and is new as well. Overall the interior is very nice place to spend time and is in very nice shape. The radio does work but speakers have not been installed. Overall the interior of this car is beautiful. Click to enlarge Engine: The Matching Numbers 1800cc 4-cyl engine fires right up and runs like a top. The car blows no smoke on start up or while driving. The engine provides plenty of torque and runs excellent. This car does retain the majority of its emissions equipment although these cars are considered classics in most states and smog testing is no longer required. You could remove some of the smog equipment and free up a few extra horsepower. This engine really runs strong and makes PLENTY of power and runs nice and smooth. The 4 speed transmission shifts smoothly in and out of every gear. The clutch was replaced and the hydraulics gone through about 2 years ago with very few miles being put on the car since. All of the lights, wipers, turn signals etc... are in good working order. The overdrive works perfectly and makes freeway cruising much more relaxing. The tires are brand new as well. The brakes have recently been replaced and the car has recently had all of the fluids changed as well. This is a great driving MGB and is simply ready to be enjoyed. Click to enlarge Clean MGs are getting harder and harder to find these days. Rust free examples that are as nice as this are hard to come by. Factor in all of the original paperwork and documentation and it becomes very difficult to compare this car to any other MGB. This MG is sure to make its new owner happy. These classic MGs are getting more and more collectible and are becoming investment grade. The beauty of this investment is that you get to DRIVE and enjoy your investment instead of asking your stock broker about how your investment is doing. This car earns lots of thumbs up everywhere you go and is a pleasure to drive. It would make a great daily driver or a weekend show piece. I can help arrange shipping anywhere in the world and international buyers are welcome to enjoy this great 1980 MGB!!!
