Vehicle Detail

Up for bid is a 1994 Buick Roadmaster Estate Wagon. Texas car with 87k original miles - 2nd owner bought in 2003 with 31k. Zero rust. Loaded up with leather and power everything. Interior and exterior are nice, too, with small blemishes consistent with age. Boasting GM's Corvette inspired LT1 engine and 4L60E transmission, it puts down plenty of power and the 2.93 limited slip rear end (GW9 and G80 build codes) maximizes the traction to the pavement. Trailer preparation "tow package" equipped - car rated to pull 5000 but never had a hitch installed. Delivers consistent 16 in town and 24 highway at 70 mph. Great driving car, get in and drive anywhere. NO RESERVE. Questions? Click "ask seller a question" or call Fred at 315-246-0612. Please allow time for a response as I work 8-5 at a regular job in Charleston. Car available for showing in Mt. Pleasant after 6:30 pm weekdays or any time weekends by appointment. Condition Report ENGINE: Runs on all eight cylinders without smoking, missing or knocking. Engine runs at proper temperature. Newer AC Delco battery & good charging system. Starts easy, runs STRONG. TRANSMISSION: Performs flawlessly. Engages gears quickly and shifts through all forward gears and reverse with good downshift and torque converter performance. Clean fluid with no burn odors. Shifts well. EXTERIOR: Body: Body is extremely straight with no notable dings down the sides. There are two small scratch/dings on the hood near the grille visible in the closeup pic but hard to spot unless you're looking for it. No rust ever, no bondo, nothing. Paint: Paint is extremely nice with a couple normal rock chips and scratches. The only complaint is the top of the right front fender has been repainted and is slightly faded. Above average paint. Wood: Side paneling is in very nice shape with a few minor chips. Not faded or cracked which, being from Texas, means it was garaged for at least a good portion of its life. Upper fake wood molding was painted tan so it's not all peeled like most. Other: All lower chrome trim is in good shape, not dinged up. There's a black scuff on the bright trim on the front bumper near the license plate bracket as pictured. No cracks or tears in the plastic bumpers. Glass is all nice including the original Sungate windshield. Solid undercarriage and frame - beautiful factory body-color floors showing still-silver gas tank straps. Aluminum wheels are in nice shape with no pitting or scuffs. INTERIOR: Interior of the car is very nice. All seats are in great shape with only the slightest wear on the driver's seat. Carpet shows some very minor wear in the usual spot at the drivers left foot (from setting the parking brake) but has not worn through. Dash and all door panels are in fabulous shape with no cracks or fading. Headliner shows no sags but has one small tear you have to look for to spot. Was a smoker's car but I've aired it out for 3 months and it's mostly gone.Nice interior overall. ELECTRICAL STUFF: All inspection items work (lights, button horn, wipers, etc.) The only power stuff that doesn't work are the power antenna (moves manually) and the rear wiper. All the other power stuff works properly - power windows, power locks, dual power seats, hot heat and cold A/C, tilt, cruise, am/fm cassette, rear window release, keyless entry, intermittent wipers, and rear defroster all work properly. Automatic level control works, too. DRIVEABILITY: Drives out beautifully as you'd expect of the low miles. Steering is tight, suspension tight, and alignment is good. Recent upper control arm bushings and newer shocks - rides firm. Brakes work well, newer pads and shoes. Tires have about 80% tread remaining. Solid exhaust pipes and mufflers with no leaks. Limited slip works properly and rear end is pretty quiet. Passed Texas emissions test in 2010 - no reason it won't pass now - check engine light is not lit (except at start up as it should.) GREAT driving car - hop in and drive anywhere. Short version terms: Small deposit as listed (but fast) by overnight mail or Paypal within 24 hours. Balance due in 5 days by cash in person, wire transfer, or Wells Fargo cashier's check. Will meet you at location or your transporter by appointment. No administrative fee on this auction. Any other costs - tax, emissions inspection, registration, etc. are buyer's responsibility - see full terms. 30 days to pick up. Temporary tags available at local license bureau. WILL PICK YOU UP AT THE CHARLESTON, SC INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT weekday evenings or any time weekends. Inspections are encouraged, but by appointment only - please email or call. Note that pickup times are by appointment only also - just call! Prepaid vehicles scheduled for transport can be picked up any time with at least 24 business hours' notice - have your driver call me. I'm happy to drive the car to a nearby large parking lot for easier truck loading.
