For sale is a 1983 Jeep CJ8 SCRAMBLER. If you are looking for these, you know how rare this Jeep is! Clear title in hand. I have owned this Scrambler for about a year and have had no mechanical issues, starts right up every time. I need to sell because I love Jeeps and have another Scrambler in my garage that I need to free up some time and money to complete. This Scrambler is the Loredo trim package, so it has some nice touches like an adjusable choke pull knob, clock in the dash, and intermitent windshield wipers. It also has: an AMC (Jeep) V8 matched to a 4 speed tranny; powerful 4 wheel drive with locking hubs; power brakes; chrome latches and mirriors; and many original parts. This Jeep is orignially from the South, kept out of the rust belt and has a solid frame. Low mileage, only 121,000 miles on the frame/body and way less on the engine!! The bad; foglights wiring needs to be reconnected and the tires are worn, but they hold air without issue. I bought this Jeep from a mechanic by trade who babied this beast but fell on hard times. Below is list of the work that has been done, but I'm sure I am forgetting a few things: Rebuilt front and rear differential Dropped in a rebuilt AMC 360 cubic inch V8. Less than 30,000 since rebuild. JEEP TO THE BONE! New Radiator to match V8 New Bosch battery Holly 4bbl carb with edelbrock air intake 2 1/2 inch body lift on 33 inch Thornbirds Dual exhaust with cats and mufflers Fresh paint, done professionally and done right. Trim removed, primed, multiple coats and clear coated Brand new rugged ridge fender flares Lined bed This Jeep is nearly 30 years old and is not a show piece. But if you are looking for a SOLID running Jeep that looks GREAT, runs STRONG and you can tinker with on the weekeneds, then this is perfect for you! Currently being kept under a cover in a private driveway. I start it up every once in a while to ensure everything remains in good working order. This is the third time I am relisting due to TWO NON-PAYING WINNERS, ebay usernames ARTYBQ and KEVINACKLAND52.
