This listing is for my neat little Geo Metro XFi ! ! Let me say I LOVE this car ! ! ! Flew all the way to Indy to get it, and drove it home. LONG story, but got 62.4 MPG w/ it (NO exhaust needed there).... Brought it home, put on exhaust & it went down to 51 MPG.... Around 255,000-257,000 miles, we noticed a loss of power. Did a comp. check & found middle cyl. compression bad. Tore the motor out, took apart, put in new piston and new rings, cleaned motor up and had back in, that same weekend. Ran GREAT ! !..... Noticed while out, that someone had CUT wires previously, instead of removing (for whatever reasons) and spliced them back together going to throttle response sensor.. Lately, it has been running bad (sputters and bucks). Found it is those darn wires coming loose ! ! ! These wires DO NEED to be redone, soldered, or whatever, to cure this. But car runs FINE other than that. Reason I have NOT done it: Last summer, I CUT the tip of my left thumb OFF, (at first knuckle), and AM left handed ! CANT even hold a wrench or screwdriver right handed. So, the car has basically been ignored since doing this, as I CANT work on it, and really CANT drive it, having to steer AND shift. Just NOT safe for me any longer. So, my LOSS can be your gain ! ! I think this car will run forever ! ! Heck, it only has 270,000 on it now !! LOTS more left of this little gem to go... I love the car, but am kinda afraid to drive it anymore. All the fun has been taken away for me, plus we JUST got the bill to renew our "Insurance" for the cars registrations, and we just CANT afford all these cars anymore, since my accident. Car was JUST inspected, with NEW rear wheel cylinders put in and new brakes. Almost $250 bucks spent on it this time 'round.... INSPECTED till 1 - 2013 ! ! ! I have installed Suzuki Swift tail lights, and added LSi 13" rims, to replace the 12's. Worst thing on the car are 2 rust spots. One on the Pass. side hood corner, and the other on the drivers door bottom. See in pic. NO other rust that we have found. Bottom of car looks good. Shock housings look good. Have many extra parts that will go with it. An extra windshield, extra dash parts, switches, Chrome window cranks, optional LSi 'intermittent wiper' switch for wheel.. Extra wiper motor, etc. etc. FIX these wires and run this car anywhere ! ! I will probably regret selling this car once its gone, but due to bills, so be it. It usually takes me $20-$25 bucks to FILL it, and I can usually drive 3 to 4 WEEKS on that tank. ALSO have AM/FM/ CD (I think) radio to go in car... WAS gonna DO that the few days before I cut my thumb off ! ! ! Now, it has NOT been done. Up to you ! ! Can come see and drive anytime. I D-O have this (AND my other cars for sale) listed and advertised locally, so I DO reserve the right to pull this ad at ANY TIME, should the car sell, here, privately. Please note this.... Willing to accept 'offers' but will NOT give away cheaply....... I like this car too much, and LOVE the gas mileage... But fair IS fair, and I will consider it. I "thought" I'd have this car till it hit a MILLION miles....... Literally.... Guess that just won't happen for me. Life sucks sometimes...... SO, call me with questions or to come drive the car.
