Vehicle Detail
NEWLY RE-LISTED WITH LOWER RESERVE. MUST SELL. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS AUCTION IF FOR PICKUP ONLY. THESE BIKES ARE LOCATED IN MARTINSBURG WV ZIP 25401 FOR SALE: A rare collection indeed. A Trio of 1981 Honda CM400A’s Bike #1 has all original equipment except for the mufflers. Slight rust at bottom welds of gas tank, however tank has been lined and bike shines up real nice. Needs tune-up and a new battery. This is the bike I once rode, and purchased some 20 years ago from a 75 year old man who had used it to deliver the Shippensburg newspaper. I am only the second owner and this bike looks mint except for the slight imperfection at the weld lines on the gas tank and that could be repaired, in lieu of the tank liner. The color of this bike is candy apple red. These bikes are automatics (no clutch or shifting) having a drive one position for city and drive 2 for highway use. Hand controls are actually brakes with the one on the left being a parking brake. Actual mileage on this bike is 6965 miles, and was last rode two years ago. Perfect for a women rider or newbie to the world of motorcycling, not wishing to “shift gears”. A blast to ride and a classic to look at!! Bikes #2 and #3 are the “real finds”. Originating from the University of Ohio they were purchased new to teach the Honda repair shop. The Candy apple red one was drained of fluids and covered up. It is all original, never been outside and has (get this) 32 ORIGINAL MILES! It may well be the only one of its kind, and truly should be in Jay Leno’s garage collection, or a museum. This one would be considered a 9.5 out of a 10 and needs nothing but a new battery (we have the original too) and minor tune-up and its ready to go or show! The blue one is not perfect (this one was the project bike) It has a slight dent in gas tank, a slight crimple in the front fender, it is missing a turn signal and the odometer set knob is broke, but get this, 27 ORIGINAL MILES! Both have been garage kept and have all original equipment. In short, visit your Honda dealer, see what $7995.00 will buy in today’s “scooter” market; whether you intend to ride them, look at them, or part them out at vintage parts prices or keep the one for parts and make the two candy apple red ones perfect for a “Mom and Pop” / His and Hers classics to ride. This is like getting three for the price of one with today’s market value sure to go up in years to come. All have clear titles and the buyer must arrange to pick up motorcycles at our location in Martinsburg, WV. Hurry Up !! Check your local Honda shop check what a Honda scooter costs. Get 3 for less than the price of one !!!!!!!!!!!!
