1958 Austin Healey Bugeye Sprite!!! Here is an absolutely beautiful 1958 Austin Healey Bugeye Sprite finished in the classic Leaf Green over a gorgeous tan (autumn leaf) interior!!! This rust free MGB is in excellent shape and runs great and has been subject to a beautiful rotisserie "Frame off" restoration. This car is absolutely stunning in person. These cars have earned there iconic status due to there unique look, racing pedigree and the back to basics enjoyment of motoring. During the course of this cars extensive restoration the car has been tastefully upgraded with a 1275cc engine that has been treated to a mild hi-performance rebuild and larger carbs. This Bugeye really moves!!! The car is as gorgeous on top as it is on the bottom. One look at the car will tell you how much time effort and money has been poured into the car. The bodywork/paint job on this car is of the highest standard. The car was restored around 2001 and has been driven sparingly since. The car shows little signs of use and looks gorgeous!!! Overall this is an excellent Bugeye and worthy of anyone collection. This is a great collectible classic that is surely to appreciate in value over the next several years and is a blast to drive!!! You could easily bring this car to your local weekend car show and show it with pride. The car was stripped to bare metal prior to being repainted. The cars body is free of waves and ripples and looks fantastic. The car has been driven and enjoyed so there is a chip or two that have been touched up with touch up paint but overall the car looks gorgeous. The chrome grill, headlight rings and "bumpers are all beautiful as well. The car really does look great in person and turns heads everywhere it goes. Click to enlarge Interior: The interior of this classic British Sports Car is like new and in excellent condition. The seats look beautiful and are very supportive since when the seats were reupholstered they were treated to new foam. All of the gauges and lights work. The carpet is in great shape and shows very little wear if any at all. Overall the interior is very nice place to spend time and is in very nice shape. There is no radio in the car but one could simply be added. Overall the interior of this car is beautiful. Click to enlarge Engine: The 1275cc 4-cyl engine fires right up and runs like a top. The car blows no smoke on start up or while driving. The engine was completely rebuilt and has had a mild performance "Kent cam" added as well. The engine has been upgraded with larger carbs and it is lots of fun to drive. This car is the definition of 50s British Motoring. This engine really runs strong and makes PLENTY of power and runs nice and smooth. The full syncro 4 speed transmission shifts smoothly in and out of every gear. All of the lights, turn signals etc... are in good working order. The trunk is finished nicely and is complete with a spare tires. This car was completely restored around 2001 to a very high standard and it truly shows. This is a great driving Bugeye and it would cost almost twice as much to restore a bugeye to this level not to mention the time it would take to do it. These classic British Cars are getting more and more collectible and are becoming investment grade. The beauty of this investment is that you get to DRIVE and enjoy your investment instead of asking your stock broker about how your investment is doing.
