Most vehicles are trade ins, new dealer trade ins, auction purchases, estate settlement purchases or consignments. Vehicles are listed, described and advertised with information received from previous owners and/or what we notice during the short time we have in our posession. We typically DO NOT know any history, service records, previous repairs or previous issues with these items.....what we know will be listed in the ad.....AND......obviously we cannot predict any future problems, issues or breakdowns on any used vehicle. All items are sold as-is and no warranties are given or implied unless otherwise stated in the ad (some of our vehicles qualify for our warranty program and we will clearly state that in the ad if that is the case), otherwise sold as-is, where is and no guarantees. (We cannot predict any future problems or breakdowns). We are not your typical "used car dealer" that plays games.....we will do our best to show and tell you everything we know and see with each vehicle. If its got problems, we will tell you. If it has damage, we will tell you. If it has title problems, we will tell you. If we see it, notice it or are told it by previous owner, we will tell you. We do all of our EBAY auctions as a NO RESERVE Auction......this means NO high starting bid, NO rediculous asking price and NO games......High bidder wins the auction and buys the item for his/her winning bid! This means that YOU determine the sale price of the item and we sell the item regardless of the final price.........this has been our policy for over 10 years now on ebay and we find that it works very well for our customers. Our other strong policy is that we DO NOT end auctions early, no matter what! Item up for auction: 1997 DODGE RAM 1500 Sport 4x4 regular cab SHORT BED....rare find, especially in a 5 speed!! *****I bought this at a dealer auction. It was a daily driver traded in on a new Dodge Durango. Brought in and being sold just as it came in/as traded. Item description, features and options: EFI 5.2L-V8 engine, 5 speed manual transmission, power steering, brakes, windows and locks, cruise, tilt, air conditioning, Dual am-fm-cd flip face stereo system, tachometer, aluminum wheels, nerf bars, cloth bench seat with fold down center armrest, carpeting, headliner, slider rear window, bedliner, current inspection until end of February 2012, etc........ Tire condition: 31" TSL Swampers with about 20-25% tread left. Interior condition: Some stains/wear but not all ripped up or ratty, just needs cleaned up and is in very good overall condition. Body/Exterior condition: Decent overall. Has a dent/slight damage on drivers rear quarter panel (see pics, nothing major). Rust wise, not too bad. Has some rust showing through on drivers rocker and rear bumper, had small quarter size spot on passengers rear wheel well touched up and some on drivers rear wheel well. Otherwise just minor blistering here and there on bottom edges of doors/rockers but very minor and no serious rot. Soild tailgate and fenders, doors, cab corners, etc..... Underneath condition: Very solid floor pans, inner rockers, bed floor and rails, frame, body mounts, etc.....Very solid and original!! Paint condition: Looks great from 20 feet but has fading/chipping and touch ups here and there. Still presentable but certainly not perfect. Mechanical condition: Starts right up and runs great!! No odd engine noises or smoke, idles smooth and revs up strong with no hesitations!! Transmission and clutch work properly and shift smooth. Truck supposedly had a new clutch installed last summer and also had new front brakes. 4x4 works properly also. Runs and drives very well......however......I noticed a clunking/noise in rear end when driving home. I had it checked out by local mechanic and he stated that the rear pinion gear must have a broken tooth/gear or possibly a shim has fallen out......THIS IS HOW YOU BUY IT! He said it could last a long time like that or it could get worse/or give out in the next mile....????.....no one can say for sure, so I suggest and recommend towing or trailering home. It does run and drive, so it will be very easy to load and move around with no problem but I do not feel safe telling you that it can be driven across the country! Should be an easy fix for any gear head with some mechanical ability. Mileage status: Over 100k miles. Title status: Clean and clear title. Other notes: Great short bed with desireable V8/5 speed driveline in a 4x4 that seems to be really strong.
