1979 Porsche 911 Targa converted into a Cabriolet This is a 1979 Porsche 911 Targa that was converted into a convertible / cabriolet. Meaning, the targa top was cut off and replaced with a convertible top - we do not have the original Targa top or any documentation for the work that was done (or for any service records). We acquired the car after the conversion was in place. The first official "cabriolet" Porsche was made in 1983, so this is a very unique car. The runs and drives well! -Red paint (The paint is an older paint job - not original. The car looks good from about 10-15 feet, but upon closer inspection, is has cracks and is missing a few paint chips.) -Black leather interior in good condition -Turbo spoiler / engine lid (not stock for the year) -New black convertible / cabriolet top (electric motors are currently not working - must be operated manually) -5 speed manual -Pioneer stereo -Odometer shows 89K (TMU - see note below about the speedometer) -Seats four -Power windows (right side window motor works but needs a little help) -Power seats -Mostly complete but needs a few trim pieces, etc. (see what’s missing below) Tires and rims are from a newer Porsche: 225/40 x 18 brand new front tires and rims 285/35 x 18 rear tires and rims VIN: 9119210339 Non Stock: mirrors, engine lid/spoiler, bumpers, and rims are all from a newer Porsche. PLEASE NOTE: The speedometer shows the gear positions as if it were an automatic, this may indicate that it was swapped out since it is a manual transmission. Missing: the AC compressor, driver's arm rest, rear view mirror, sun visors, spare tire, car jack, left button on the steering wheel, door lock knobs, and the panel/cover for the convertible top's motors/wiring.
