1988 Ford Mustang 5.0 Drag Car NO RESERVE! I am selling my drag car project that I failed to complete after putting roughly over $15,000 into. I used to live near WIR (Wisconsin International Raceway) in Kaukhana, WI where they have a 1/4 mile track and planned on racing the car there, but in 2009 I moved to Minnesota and do not have any tracks close to my house. So now it just sits in my garage, so I am selling it! I know I am going to take a nice hit on this car, but I just have no use for it anymore.... my loss - your gain! This car is not hacked up - it is as original as it gets... The power windows work, lights, blinkers, dome lights, brake lights, power locks - I wanted a drag car that was not gutted out. I bought the Mustang in 2002 from a lady in Illinois. It was a 100% stock 5.0 Mustang - It has been repainted 1 time with the original color plus a very small hint of metal flake. I drove it as a street driver on and off till 2008 when I started to transform it into a drag car. I never had a single issue with the car! It always ran perfect.... The condition of the car is in the exact shape as when i bought it in 2002. I purchased it with a dented Passenger door (see pic). The dent is located in JUST the door - not in the fender or quarter pannel! So a new door skin would solve this problem. The car is void of any major rust. The only rust is located in the bottom of the rear quarter pannel. It is minor and would be a very simple fix. The floor pannels are in great shape! The rocker pannels are in great shape! The factory hatch has a little rust on the lip - I am including a Brand New Cervinis fiberglass bolt on hatch with Harwood Lexan glass. I am stating what rust is on the vehicle so their will be no hidden secrets! I had all the Chassis and back half of the car professionally built by Chris at Performance Engineer located in Appleton, WI in 2008. Rear is a ladder bar suspension with a custom built Ford 9" with 35 spline axles with 4:83 gears. All the metal work was also done by Chris - Very nice looking! All alluminum with custom beading to make it look professional. Battery (brand new) has been tranfered to rear and has a main cut off switch located by license plate. This car has not been hacked up at all! The Hood has been replaced with a Cervinis 4" cowl induction hood. It was able to be bolted to factory hinges and was professionally painted a matte black. Cervinis is by far one of the best fiberglass companies on the market! The lines are perfect! I am also including a new Cervinis bolt on hatch that is not installed. I also have New in the box lexan windows from Harwood for the driver and passenger doors along with the rear glass for the hatch. I have all the mounting acc. for the hatch. Interior has original carpet, dash, door panels, headliner, and much more. I have installed 2 brand new Kirkey aluminum racing seats with black kirkey covers. These seats also have tracks installed so you can adjust the seat to you liking. Cage is a professional 10 pt cage and painted matte black. Window net installed with quick detach. Auto Meter tach with shift light. I am not positive on size - but i am pretty sure it is a 3 gallon Jaz Fuel Cell with electric fuel pump. Battery relocated to rear with manual quick disconnect. Harnesses have expired and will not be included in sale. Line-loc is installed. Engine is the original 5.0 with Hooker Headers and underdrive pulleys. No work has been done to this motor. It starts up and runs perfect. Never had any issues with this motor. Aluminum AFCO radiator with flex-a-lite fan with interior switch. Transmission is a Ford C4 with 4000 stall converter with shift kit installed and a B&M shifter all work has less than 1 mile on it! Wheels are brand new -wheels are Weld polished ProStar in mint condition. Front and back are 5 lug. Front tires are M/T Et Fronts 24x4.5-15 and rears are Good Year Dragway Specials 32x16-15. Front brakes are disc and rear brakes are drum. I am located in Mankato, MN. I am sure i have forgot alot of things - get ahold of me if any questions. I have no problem showing car prior to sale. Body needs to be finished for "show room quality" but is in nice condition... I have no problem showing anyone this car! The engine is the original engine from this car (fuel inj. 5.0).
