Up for auction is a 2005 Mazda RX-8 Shinka special edition. Below I have listed details and options: (Note: This car was up for sale recently, and I ended the auction due to a local wanting to buy the car. They never committed to the buy, so it is back up for auction on here, and no longer advertised locally. The car now has 55,097 miles on it.) -54,XXX miles -6 speed manual -Existing factory warranty (100,000 miles) -Black Mica Metallic exterior color (specific to 2005 Shinkas) -Parchment tan interior -Multi-function steering wheel -Bose six disc changer -Front heated seats -Power driver seat -Power windows -Power locks -Self-dimming rear view mirror with garage door openers -Sunroof -Cruise control -Sirius satellite radio (needs to be activated at Mazda dealership) -A/C and heat works flawlessly -Self leveling Xenon headlights -Fog lights -Mazda ground effects package -1.3 liter rotary, 9,000 rpm redline Car was purchased on December 30, 2010 from Mazda of Mesquite in Mesquite, Texas. It has been a great car and is a blast to drive! Car was adult-owned, and never smoked in. There are some very minor flaws. The dash on the passenger side has developed a crack recently (within the past week), I'm guessing from the harsh hot to cold weather transition. This could be repaired very easily. There is also a very small door ding that you can only see in person. Overall, it is a great car. On Dec-29-11 at 19:23:05 PST, seller added the following information: For those of you that do not know what the significance of the Shinka Edition is, I will elaborate. 2005 Shinka Edition RX-8's were the only RX-8's to ever get the Black Cherry Mica exterior color, and only 1,600 or so were produced world-wide. Of these 1,600, a little over half were manual transmission cars. That makes slightly over 800 cars produced ever, making these cars a little more unique.
