The boldly- styled Ram replaced the previous Dodge pickup in 1994 and established the Ram 1500 as a top-selling new vehicle. Added midyear was the high-performance SRT-10, featuring the Dodge Viper's V10 engine, plus a 6-speed manual transmission, sport suspension, 22-inch wheels, and special trim. Good for a full-size pickup. Body lean is well-controlled. Grip is great. Steering provides excellent road feel. SRT-10 better on all counts then its competitors. Wind and tire noise barely audible above rumbling V10 in SRT-10. The dash has a simple, handy layout, climate, audio, etc all are laid out in with the driver in mind. This SRT-10 has Autometer Factory gauges and styling touches that add to performance feel. Spacious even for big adults, the SRT-10's bucket seats add side bolstering to keep passengers from sliding around in fast turns. Ram's "big-rig" styling shouts for attention, but its performance, comfort, and solidity earn it our recommendation. SRT-10 is the performance leader in the hot-rod pickup market with over 500hp, and that’s before the K&N Intake, and High Flow exhaust was installed.
