I bought this vehicle for my son as his first car when he started High School. I got it out of North Carolina and it was pretty nice when I bought It. My son drove everyday while going to school and he did mostly trail riding and hill climbing with it on the weekends. Over the course of 3 years he put about 8,000 miles on it and a lot of upgrades and improvements. At about 100,000 miles the head gasket blew. He and I took the engine out and tore it down and found very little engine wear. However antifreeze damaged the crankshaft & bearings but we decided to rebuild it since it was such a good little truck. As you can see from the above description of all the work done and new parts installed, we have a ton of $ in it. We tried to do the rebuild the right way rather than the cheap way. Professionals did all the machine work. My son and I sourced the parts and we did the assembly labor ourselves. The thing runs like a sewing machine, starts immediately, idles smoothly at 750 RPM, uses no oil, no drips or leaks, no smoke, runs cool, shifts perfectly. Son has given it up for another vehicle he can drive to college so I need to reluctantly move it on to a new owner now.
