I purchased This 1973 Volvo P 1800 ES with the intention of restoring it for myself but recently lost my job. I had been looking for a solid car for a long time. This car has some surface rust, but otherwise is solid everywhere. All original panels. Unside solid. A word about that. I have spent so much time going to look at cars where the seller said " no rust". Only to stick my finger through the floor or rocker panel. To some people, " no rust" means, "if you cant see it". This is a solid car, other than some minor bubbleing and surface rust. This car is structurally solid, floors, frame rails, rockers etc have no rot, nor have the been repaired. I mean it. If the car is not as advertised, I am offering a 100% money back guarantee. All the metal work is in excellent condition with the exception of the roof rack that the chrome is pitted. This chrome is applied over that infamous "white metal" and never weathers well. All the stainless and bumpers, headlight bezels etc are in great condition. I can send pictures of the undercarriage upon request. The car was from North Carolina. I have original registration cards and, oddly, a gas mileage log from the previous owner. Was garaged forever. I had to remove the tank and have it cleaned and repainted. ( see pictures.) The fuel had turned to goo from sitting. It runs, but not perfectly. I am guessing some attention needs to be paid to the fuel injection. It has four new Michelin tires. Just passed PA state inspection. Has overdrive and AC. Paint is shot. Needs a complete repaint. Dash has a few cracks. Otherwise the interior is in remarkable condition.Take a look at the seats. I am in the process of getting addition pictures so if there are some specific pictures you need let me know. Ebay wont let me add more for some reason. If you were looking for a solid restoration candidate, this is it. Seller will ship overseas at buyers expense. ( or anywhere else for that matter) The mileage listed is the mileage on the odometer, and the title says it is original miles, but I seriously doubt that and cannot document that. This car is in excellent condition for being almost 50 years old, but will need a tune up prior to being driven. Tires are new, brakes, suspension etc all good. Just passed state inspection.
