THIS IS BEING RELISTED WITH NO ENGINE/TRANS/CONSOLE. Just a rolling shell. 1965 PHS documented GTO. Car originally Palmetto green, black cordova top, black interior. 389-4 barrel, 4 speed M-20, 3.23 safe-T-track rearend. Options include:push button radio, power steering, power brakes, Deluxe wheel discs, soft ray windshield, console with bucket seats, seat belts with retractors, 14" white walls. I know the previous owners of this vehicle. It was placed in storage 22 years ago in order to have the car repainted. At that time it was red with a black cordova top. 5 years ago, after the owner died, the car in primer was taken out of storage and placed outside where it sat in the elements for over 3 years. Both bumpers, bucket seats and rear glass were removed and never found again. 2 years ago family members tracked the car down and removed it from weeds and overgrowth and placed it back in storage. The car has a clear title. This is a project car for a VERY dedicated person as almost everything has to be replaced, however this has potential to be a very nice driver when completed. This is rusty, the floors and trunk need to be replaced, quarter panels and fenders patched, door skins installed, etc. Doors shut nice and heavy with little to no sag. It is also the rarest and lightest body style and only 8,319 GTO coupes were built compared to 11,311 convertibles and 55,722 hardtops. The rear wheels pictured are not included. The wheels that will go with the car match the front wheels, but those tires dont hold air. The buyer should bring 2 wheels for loading on a trailer. Car is located in the 48192 zip code.
