I am the original owner and have racked up all of the 77,500 miles on the odometer. Everything works! This car is in excellent shape inside and out, please look at all the pictures! This is an excellent mechanical condition diesel/automatic transmission combination that always provided me with +45 miles per gallon for the life of the vehicle. It's about as new as an auto with 77,500 miles on it can get. There are a few very minor dings on the rear fenders (see pictures) and a small spot of rust (about the size of a fingernail) on the right rocker panel where the paint has been worn down by the factory front mud flap (very common I was told by VW body shop manager, they noticed the spot). There is a minor paint chip on the leading edge of the hood on the driver’s side (see picture please). Each mirror housing has a minor scuff on it but that's about it for the exterior. The interior is immaculate. Carpets and seats are very clean and absent of stains. The original floor mats are included with the purchase and are also very clean. This car is equipped with the optional Monsoon stereo package and also has a 6-disc CD changer in the trunk. The stereo still sounds great. The moonroof operates flawlessly and really is a great feature to have. The A/C is cold and all HVAC controls work as they should. I have performed all required maintenance for the life of the vehicle. Oil changes, fuel filter changes, air filter and cabin air filter have been performed at factory recommended intervals and documented. One major service has been performed on the vehicle at 44,000 miles which included the timing belt and water pump. The local VW TDI guru used a timing belt kit from dieselgeek.com which included a long life timing belt and tensioner, as well as new accessory belts. This timing belt kit is designed to last 80,000 miles so you don't have to worry about these major maintenance items for quite some time. The tires have approximately 60% tread remaining and look great. I also have four snow tires mounted on VW factory wheels if you are interested. They have 1 or 2 winters of good tread left and really perform great in the slippery stuff. Bring an extra $50 and their all yours. The front left fender was just replaced under a VW factory recall campaign, the front right fender was repaired and repainted as well under the same campaign. Please ask any questions you may have, I will respond with honest answers promptly. I will require a $500 deposit and the remainder of the payment in cash during the transaction.
