With its unmistakable styling that continues to turn heads today. With its strong-running correct 260 CID 2-BBL 164HP V8 engine, it has muscle too. Like the best investment-grade classics, this collector-favorite has been carefully and correctly restored with great attention to detail. About the only item that is not correct is the dual exhaust, which was tastefully done but can be easily converted back to the correct stock single-exhaust. Finished in its original Burgundy ("X" code),white (Code #46) vinyl and white/black trim (Code #46), this authentic bucket-console convertible comes optioned with a floor mounted 3-speed manual transmission, power top, two speed electric wipers (yes, they were optional), upgraded heating and ventilation, front seat belts, safety padded dash, working factory am radio and more. Everything - from gauge and lens clarity, to general operation - works as new. Restoration preserved original metal, original pans, which are now painted black - not undercoated - instead of its original factory red oxide paint. Other components are original or replaced to factory spec and there are no signs this car has ever been abused or damaged. Simple elegance and great fun, all wrapped up in this outstanding early Mustang example.
