Vehicle Detail

The bad points: 1) three minor dings on passenger side (two pre-date my ownership- see pics); 2) >137,000 miles; 3) several spots where anticorrosion coating is peeling off (see pics); 4) driver's side sun visor fell out (see pic); 5) bad heater core (down in South Florida, I never replaced it because it doesn't need it); 5) two windows won't go up (passenger side front and driver side rear), which means their electric motors are going bad; 6) two small cracks in dash (see pic of one and the other is visible behind the pic of the sun visor); and 7) cng tank takes up most of the trunk. The good points: 1) a very dependable cng car (I've been using it as my primary vehicle since I bought it in October 2005 and am still using it as such); 2) runs on inexpensive fuel ($2.19/gasoline gallon equivalent (gge) and still gets >30 mpg (gge) on the highway; 3) reduces your total C footprint by using cng, reducing oil dependence on foreign countries; 4) rebuilt transmission, new shifter cable, new ignition relay, new battery, oil change and tune-up all done since April 2011; 5) the window motors, heater core and sun visor above total about $250 in parts and a few hours of time for a do-it-yourself type; 6) for FL residents, the state alternative fuel permit is paid for through end of December and will transfer with the sale, as far as I know; 7) I will guarantee < 137,500 miles on it at purchase and will also include a full cng tank (less distance from cng pump to residence in Boca Raton) and full gasoline tank; 8) located in Boca Raton FL, less than 2 miles from I-95; 9) good tires, with ~60% tread left; 10) includes remote keyless entry (still needs to be synchronized); and 11) priced to sell: the starting price, reserve price and buy it now price all have been lowered since the listing began. The bottom line: This car has a low starting price, is fully depreciated and is priced as such but is a good buy for someone who wants to get into the world of alternative fuel vehicles. I'm not going to pretend this is a new vehicle, since it isn't. But it is in pretty good shape and has been well maintained, is dependable and should give good service to the buyer. This car is being sold as is, with no warranty express or implied. Notes:Sorry about the photo quality, but I'm a scientist not a photographer and these were all taken with a cell 'phone. I think they're good, for a cell 'phone. Also, I know eBay motors says to include full views of all sides, but I didn't take one of the rear end/bumper without the trunk open. I can promise all viewers the rear end and bumper are fine, with no dings or anything beyond a little peeling of the anti-corrosion coating. Sorry about that (but photography isn't my strong suit). I can promise all viewers that both the front and rear ends and their bumpers are fine, with no dings or anything beyond a little peeling of the anti-corrosion coating. On Dec-12-11 at 11:07:25 PST, seller added the following information: I just noticed today the car has a cassette player next to the radio. Since I listen to radio and CDs (not cassettes), I'd never noticed this before.
