A decent example of a car that's becoming harder to find these days. No rain leaks. No body dents. No missing emblems. Body paint is in fine shape. Runs just fine. Four-speed "Ultradrive" transmission has the correct Chrysler 7176 fluid in it. "Dream smooth" driving. Leather interior in good shape. Troublesome original ABS system replaced with conventional non-antilock brakes. Driver's side airbag disconnected-- can be re-connected by the dealer or mechanic if you feel that's important. Recently the CV joints and boots were replaced. Also has a fairly new serpentine belt and tensioner, water pump, and battery. I have a Vehicle Checkup sheet from the local Chrysler/Dodge dealer showing various items they checked are OK. Rear suspension load leveling motor disconnected, but this doesn't seem to be affecting anything. Tires are very good-- plenty of tread on them. A/C does not blow cold, but heater, defroster, blower motor all work. There is a bit of paint bubble corrosion in a small area behind rear wheel molding, part of which I have sanded down, filled in, and touched up, and the repair seems to be holding. All lights work except headlight doors do not always open the first time when I turn the headlights on. So I open 'em by hand if necessary. Overall, the car is in very good condition, with a few flaws, as would be expected of a car of this vintage. I purchased this Imperial from a Chrysler dealer in 2001, when it had 75,000 miles on it.
