Up for auction is my project 1964 Jeep CJ5 frame that was lenghthed to fit on a CJ6 AMC 1981 Rare Export body found in 11-81 at Riverside Auto Parts in Newwark, Ohio this is 1 of 6 bodies that were shipped in to this facility from the Jeep plant in Toledo,Ohio. US sales stopped in 1975 for the CJ6 but continued for export till 1981 then discontinued. These bodies were sold after production was stopped in the fall of 1981 I still have the original receipt when purchased for $1,500 + tax this was a lot of money back then. The bodies were on a pallet complete with seats, windshield and seat belts. Minus the dash board and tailgate. The dash is out of the 64 and the tailgate was found used. Rare is a Understatement! The Paint is the original and not ever wrecked or repaired. I also have a New AMC top made by Whitco for the 1981 body that has never been on the jeep and will have to be fitted. I do not have the doors. The 1964 Jeep CJ5 body needed replacing back then and i heard about the new bodies that were sent out to get parted out so i went and purchased one. The frame was lengthened to fit the new body (See pic). New Chinese bodies are over $5000 today! Here is a chance to get a real US made AMC Jeep body for your rusty CJ6 or for a custom frame project. This jeep starts and runs but needs brake work and has not been road driven since 1983 I have a new tow bar that comes with the jeep. NOTE: This is a project CJ that was never totally completed it needs wiring and finishing or use the body for your Jeep project. I do not think there are very many left out there in this condition. The seats will need recovering due to mice damage. There are only a few rust holes in the body. I took pictures of them (See Pics.) All under floor braces and floors are rust free just some paint peeling No Scaling. Here is your chance to have a real US Made Body for you project or Finish this one. Selling No Reserve!
