Wait to you see what its got. The right hand drive is a ton of fun to drive and people take notice. Its easy to drive and after a few times around the block you will be all right on the right! This is an import from New Zealand. It was imported 5 years ago and brought to Texas. It was painted about 5 years ago and the paint still has a nice shine but some rust spots are on the body and filler cracks visible. Too many cars and not enough time to enjoy them. Loss of garage space and this one is too nice to leave outside so it must go. Its a desirable factory color mustard yellow. It has the original 6 cylinder 2F motor and 4 speed transmission. Shows 122186 miles on odometer. It has the removable hard top and hard doors. I never removed it. Some rust on body. Floors are good but some bits of rust on surface. No holes are penetrated and are still intact. Can be restored or left alone as is. I prefer to leave it alone. Its got great patina and people love to see a real FJ40 in action and not just pretty ones at car shows! This is an amazing classic old vehicle in great shape. The seats have been changed and although they are not stock they are super comfortable. The rear seats are still the factory benches. Check out the cool overhead console and wing vented windows. Left rear quarter panel is pushed in behind rear wheel. Its a real soft fender and tends to happen to these cars. Left rear ambulance door does not open. The lock needs to be fixed. Right door opens fine. Engine and transmission are strong. Its pretty quick for a FJ. Starts right up fine. All the gauges are working- fuel, odometer, temp, battery, amp. Choke works. Doesnt smoke. New battery and mirrors. It does have a few issues: Pulls to the left when braking (needs the brakes checked probably a bad wheel cylinder), no smog equipment and wont pass in California.
