It has just over 96,000 original miles and that is the true correct miles, its all stock, its rust free, runs and drives excellent. Its had two owners since new, has had no accidents and starts right up even in the cold. This Islander has the 4.0 Liter straight 6 engine with 5 speed manual transmission. Tires are still knobby, with plenty of tread left on them. Maintenance has been done per manufacture specs, it does not leak any oils or smoke and it has a little louder purr from a Flowmaster muffler, you can hear the difference in the videos. 4x4 works as it should in both high and low. The exterior is virtually flawless with only a handful of small imperfections. As always I describe everything here but I also encourage you to watch the videos if you are a serious bidder as you will get a better understanding of the exact exterior, and interior condition of this Jeep plus more often then not I take photos and videos days or even weeks before I actually do the listing, I write down as I go but the videos ensure everything is covered. Both front fenders and windshield frame have small rock chips from highway driving, the passenger side fender flair is the worst but these plastic flairs are easy enough to find. The driver side front fender has a slight bend in it, both front fenders have a 1.5" at exactly the same spot which was a weakness in the sheet metal Jeep used in those years, there is no body rust, nor is the frame rusted, matter of fact the undercarriage is in very good shape, it has not been used off road. The front windshield is brand new, I had it installed less than 3 weeks ago as well as the tan soft top which is also 3 weeks old. The interior is nice for its age, Jeep still has carpet and its in fairly good shape could use a good cleaning, both driver and passenger seats have tears down seams where you slide your butt in and out and passenger front seat is also dirty in some areas. I will include a nice set of neoprene red Jeep seat covers for both front buckets with buy it now price only. Jeep's has original center console but it is missing the plastic piece for the two front cup holders, tuffy builds a nice metal secured center console that I would recommend to anyone with a soft top. Jeep has backseat but needs to be mounted properly. Engine compartment is clean with no leaks or oil buildup. It has a good spare tire. This Jeep is nice, its been sitting for years with little to no use. I have had it gone through and mechanically it is in excellent shape and does not need any work. The paint shines up nice and the islander decals are still intact for the most part. Its a hard trim to find especially with the low miles this one has and the mechanical shape its in. I know this will make someone very happy.
