A new car, a stimulating post-war era of peace and innocence and freedom. We can picture this couple stopping at the local gas station and filling up for 15 cents per gallon and driving to friends' and relatives' homes to show off. Then, maybe south for a weekend at Crater Lake.Catapult to 2011 and this car is still on the road!--the car was driven regularly through 2010, and is still drivable and road worthy. This beautifully styled auto has had three owners. All the owners are documented. The last owner graciously donated the car to Amity (OR) High School to help fund the 2012 Senior Graduation Night alcohol and drug-free festivities. These fetivities have been an annual tradition at Amity High School The total price we receive from this vehicle will go to Amity High School.Currently, this Ford Mainline has a 1947 Ford 6 cylinder truck engine as its running gear. The original engine block is included with this listing. Although the majority of the body is in good condition, there is rust on the right rocker panel, and on the left edge the roof. To bring this car to full restoration, the interior will need work--as you can see in the photos, there are some water damage to the inside door panels. The seats have considerable wear. The frame and body parts are in good condtion. This car is available for local pickup or we can arrange shipment via truck.
