Up for an auction is a beautiful 1971 Mercedes-Benz 280 S sedan, 6 cylinder *** RUN AND DRIVE PERFECTLY***. It is extremely clean for its age. The exterior is in great shape, The chrome pieces are rust free and shiny. The original paint is in great shape except for two little rust spots in the corners of the bottom rear quarter panels shown on pics; also, there is a little ding on the rear panel as shown on pic. Original paint has some marks from tree resin. Other than that the car has no other dents, rust spots, dings or scratches. The interior leather is in excellent condition without any rips or discoloring, looks like from a brand new vehicle. The interior wooden dash is original and in good condition. The floor of the car and the trunk show no rust when lifted up. Original carpeting in great shape. The car is fully functional, transmission works smoothly as well as the brakes . The car runs and drives and starts up with one crank. All lights are fully functional. The car comes with all original books, ignition and trunk key original tools and still oroginal box of spare fuses. The last inspection done on books was in 1991 showing 17k miles. The spare tire in the trunk has never been used. Overall the car is in excellent condition for its age. Bought from original 1st owner.
