This is a great example of a rust free California BMW, paint under the hood, in the engine bay & trunk is original , the exterior was faded & through to the primer so we did a passive restoration .The exterior was cleaned up 3 small rust holes under the front fenders were cut out & fixed, the rest was great , NO RUST under the window rubbers, shock towers spare wheel hole etc etc . Let the photos do the talking. The interior was re done by the previous owner in Velour & vinyl, seats are foam filled & comfortable. I re did the front seats & door panels to match as they were ripped & worn , the headliner is very nice. All the trim is there , a later model steering wheel is fitted , the rest is stock. I shortened up the front bumper , added new KYB gas strut inserts & rear shocks. The brakes have been done too with new rear cylinders & shoes & new pads up front. The engine is not numbers matching but a factory replacement of unknown mileage , she purrs like a kitten & the twin choke Solex carb works great.She never gets hot & returns great gas mileage, clutch works fine as does the 4 speed trans, does not jump out of gear or grind going in.There is a small door dent from a broken door break (new upgraded door brakes added now) The rest is nice, this is a driver car & could be a nice show car with very little time & expense . A new Turbo project 2002 for me sees this Mintgrun car for sale.I have been driving her as a daily driver for 2 months & she starts 1st time every time & has been very reliable. She's a real eye catcher & everywhere I go I get complements , unfortunately I cannot keep them all .
