I’m selling this fine vehicle for a friend, who lives in Southern California. She purchased it 5 years ago, has dearly loved it, but recently acquired a sports car, and has decided to let someone else enjoy her treasured Mercedes. The clear California title is in her name, has been signed off by her, and is currently in my possession, as is the car. The interior and exterior of the car, I believe, are well represented by the photographs, and evidence that the car has been well taken care of. The headliner on the two windshield pillars, to the right and the left of the windshield should be replaced. There are several smaller cracks, about 1” long, close together, just behind the front license plate. This fine automobile has been under the care of a local Mercedes mechanic, runs and drives well, and has been serviced regularly. The engine is healthy, has good oil pressure, runs cool and strong, and runs like a good Mercedes should. The automatic transmission falls in gear nicely, and shifts smoothly. The brakes work well, the power steering responsive, the suspension tight, and the car is a joy on the open road. Whenever something needed to be done to the car, it was taken care of. A couple of exceptions that I am aware of would be the following: The “SRS” and “Airbag off” dash warning indicators are on. The car was professionally scanned for SRS codes, and it was found that the right front seat occupied sensor has a short to the ground and could be replaced. The seat belt is functional but, her mechanic said, may not self- tension during a collision. Also, the CD player works well, but the antenna is believed to be loose, so currently the radio doesn’t play. So many bells and whistles! But these could be some things you may want to repair Included with the car are receipts documenting recent work, including a new battery, resealed engine oil cooler, resealed timing chain cover cap, resealed P/S reservoir, resealed galley plug at front of engine, recent synthetic oil change, replaced cabin dust filter, new radiator, and a COMPLETE NEW SET of all-weather radial tires, good for summer or snow. The cost of the tires was over $700. and they only have around 5,000 miles. The front end was also aligned at this time. One final thing: NO RUST! The above mechanical descriptions are based on my personal observations with the help of a Mercedes mechanic, probably not complete, are not a professional inspection or warranty, or an exhaustive cosmetic or mechanical analysis of this automobile. You can expect that some things may not work up to your mechanics standards, and that he/she will most likely find additional work that he would like to do.
