Vehicle Detail
1973 Plymouth Duster.....Car is a 318, I'm unsure if it is the original motor, the previous owner was unsure and I haven't checked the engine numbers. The engine runs strong and seems stock other than an Edelbrock Performer Intake and Edelbrock 600 carb that was recently rebuit. The engine appears to have the original Mopar blue paint on it that was used from 1973 and later. The car is very solid with very minimal rust, there are no rust holes on the body, just some minor surface spots from normal wear over the years. A previous owner added the poor silver paint job over the original tan color and added the "360" striping. The original seats are in good shape with average wear for the year, the carpet and original headliner needs replaced. The dash is solid but, no guages work, possibly due to a fuse issue. I am unsure of the mileage because the odometer and speedometer do not work. The under carriage appears solid and the car looks like it has newer shocks. The BF Goodrich tires are in decent shape but, two have a small leak and need air put in them every few days. The car has dual exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers and sounds healthy, the engine does not smoke and the transmission seems to shift fine. The car will need a battery but otherwise is driveable. All window glass is in good condition and the trim pieces are solid. The trunk is also solid with minor rust. There is one rust hole on the driver's side floor pan in the center of the floor board that appears to have been caused from some type of leak in the past. The spot is easily fixable and has not eaten into the rocker panel. Overall, the car is in very solid shape and with a paint job would be a head turner. The bumpers are also solid with minor surface rust. These cars are becoming harder and harder to find in this type of solid driveable condition. This car is an excellent candidate for a very easy restoration.....Drive it while you work on it.....I have only owned this car for a few months and have listed it to the best of my ability and it is being sold as is, with no warantee.....A $500 deposit is due at the end of auction and buyer is responsible for pick-up in Peoria, Illinois.
