Vehicle Detail
PLEASE READ!! I am selling my '93 3000GT VR4. This is my personal car and has not been modified at all. Everything is still bone stock. I'm the 3rd owner of this car, and I've had it for the last 11 years. It had around 65k miles on it when I purchased it. Right now the car is NOT currently running. The car has been sitting for 3+ years, and earlier this year I decided I wanted to get it running again and start driving it. The car actually started up without any issue for me after installing a new battery and some new gas. But I didn't want to run the engine or drive it since it had been sitting so long before getting a full service, so I had it towed to a local Mitsubishi specialist to change all fluids and let me know of any issues that need addressing. This is where my problems started!! The repair shop called me when they received the car and I was told they could not get it to start. They told me that there was no power to the entire car, which they thought had something to do with an aftermarket Viper alarm system that is installed in the car. I brought them the remotes to the alarm for testing, but they still couldn't get it working. I was told they don't install or work on aftermarket alarms, so they didn't really know what they were doing. AND to top it off, someone left the door unlocked and the radio was stolen from the dash while it was at the shop. I was not happy, needless to say. When it left my driveway, it fired right up after installing the new battery and the car had power to everything, just like normal. So, I had it towed back to my home, where it still sits now. I've fooled around with it some myself, putting in ANOTHER new battery (just in case that was the problem), but I honestly have no idea what I'm doing either. The car still has no power to anything. I just frankly don't have the time or energy into working on it, so I'm hoping someone with a little technical ability will purchase it and get it running again. It really is a great car and can be a heck of a sports car with some time and a little money. Unfortunately, I have neither! I was offered $1000 for it by the repair shop who couldn't get it working, but I really didn't want to sell it to them since I was so upset with that whole situation. It may be something as simple as getting the Viper system removed to get it running again, but I really don't know. I'm just selling it as-is, and like I said, I think someone with the technical/mechanical skills could get it running again pretty easily. I've included pictures of everything just as it was left from the shop. The paint is in pretty good shape except for the roof, which has faded out badly. So, let me know if anyone has any questions, and I hope my (former) pride and joy can find a good home!On Nov-23-11 at 15:32:21 PST, seller added the following information: ***JUST ADDED ADDITIONAL PICTURES OF ENGINE BAY, EXTERIOR, AND INTERIOR VIA FLICKR....CLICK THE LINK BELOW TO SEE PICTURES: Flickr Photostream
