Vehicle Detail
I found it in a 'Shed' but you could call it a 'Barn' find if that sounds better.....This bike was built way back when and seems to follow the look of it's day......The TEXAS TITLE says the frame is a 1967 Triumph TR6C ....The motor (XJ=Aug 77) is a 1978 Bonneville 750cc with a nice pair of 30mm Mikuni's. The motor was brought back to life with a Boyer Electronic Ign.and New Plugs. The compression is about 125 lbs on each cylinders. The engine starts with one kick, runs, idles as it should and has a smooth shifting transmission that shifts on the left side. I was told that the engine had a higher lift cam that stock and it certainly comes on at about 2500 The 16" rear rim is laced to a Triumph Disc Brake Hub. Good tires front and rear. Some surface rust but most will clean up. All the electric's are in a nice chrome box below the nice Harley type chrome oil tank.....I thought about using this engine on a Triton Project being built and selling the Desirable Springer Front End to someone building their dream Chopper but this one is a good example of the old school bikes that I saw during my career in the British motorcycle business. To answer some questions::::This bike is 8'8" long, seat height is about 24", arm reach to controls is about 15" and to the Forward Controls about 26". Removing the Springer Front End the bike will be about 5' long and the Front End could lie beside the bike for shipping. Please call with any questions. 512-791-6146 I'll help ship to anywhere in the world.
