Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is a 1970 Honda CB 750. This bike was manufactured in 4/70 making it a real 1970 KO. This is a numbers matching bike! Engine: CB750E-1034141 Frame: CB750 -1033972 I changed the oil, spark plugs, set the timing and the points and kicked her right up! Runs good and strong! 4 into 1 Kerker exhaust sounds nice. I don't know the mileage of the bike since it has a Kawasaki instrument gauge on it. The bike was painted green by someone else years ago and they added the cafe fairing...kind of looks like a Mad Max "toe cutter" bike! The gas tank is very clean inside and it doesn't appear to have any dents. The oil side..side cover looks like it was an original, but it has been mudded over. The left side is and aftermarket cover. The engine was painted black and i checked it for any damage from a broken chain...there is NO DAMAGE or repairs to the engine case. The seat appears to be the original duck tail, but it has been recovered. All the electrics work, however the battery is a bit too weak to start the motor so a new battery would be a good idea. It has a finned point cover and a working oil pressure gauge. The tires are cracked and should be replaced. The chain will need to be replaced. The front brake will need to be cleaned and rebled. I do have the air box and filter for the bike. Its not pictured on the bike but comes with the sale. Digital photos are very flattering so be sure to ask questions!! I will do my best to answer them asap. This is a good candidate for restoration but it is in need of an extensive cleaning! Does not leak any oil or gas. Good luck and happy bidding! On Nov-17-11 at 14:56:27 PST, seller added the following information: Forgot to mention the rear rim is a 17 inch, not the stock 18 inch. It also has a lowering kit on the back shocks...probably for a shorter rider, but it suits the bike well. (you can see it in the pic with the shock) For those of you asking....I have set a pretty low reserve for this bike. good luck!
