Hi I am selling a clean White (always looks clean) 1998 volvo xc 70 cross country wagon that is in mint condition(no accidents) NO RUST (22mpg). I purchased the volvo from a customer of mine (spare volvo third family vehicle low miles) who took great care of the volvo and always stayed on top of the maintenance, I am a certified volvo technician and have serviced this wagon for the past four years prior repairs were done at the local volvo dealer. I initially purchased the xc70 for myself but decided to go w/ v70R and now I have decided to sell it. The car has been owned by smoke and pet free owners, the interior is a tan leather and is in great shape no rips or tears very clean no stains. I have inspected the vehicle and made all the mechanical repairs needed to make it a 10 out of 10 volvo. I have made many repairs over the last two years and have maintenance records. There are many new repairs and parts I have made on this wagon in the last year wich are: (NEW) TURBO RETURN SEALS, SWAY BAR LINKS, L/F AXLE BOOTS, ENGINE MOUNTS, MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR, OIL PUMP SEALS,OIL PAN SEAL, VALVE GUIDE SEALS, POWER STEERING RACK, 4 WHEEL ALIGNMENT, LEFT AND RIGHT FRONT WHEEL BEARINGS, AIR PUMP, A/C COMPRESSER, AIR INTAKE PIPE AND SENSOR, R/F OUTER TIE ROD, RADIATOR, COOLANT HOSES, THERMOSTAT, TIMING BELT, WATER PUMP, TENSIONER, IDLE ROLLER, SERPENTINE BELT, CAM SEALS, FUEL FILTER, PCV SYSTEM, AIR FILTER, CABIN AIR FILTER, DRIVE SHAFT, FRONT AND REAR BRAKE PADS AND ROTORS, FRONT STRUTS AND BUSHINGS, AWD UNIT GEAR OIL, COOLANT FLUSH, TRANSMISSION FLUSH, BRAKE FLUID, BATTERY, 4 TIRES BALANCED (CONTINENTALS) many parts were replaced due to the age of the rubber parts This wagon is in perfect mechanical condition everything works mechanically and electrically this is not a dealer car that was spit washed and glued together like most wagons you see online, every bulb, switch, is functional NOOOOO problems, the engine is strong and the transmission shifts great, NO leaks or NOises, the suspension is perfect she drives smooth, awd is in great shape new drive shaft great in snow, I really recomend if your looking to purchase a volvo wagon, you should should buy a 1998 over a 1999 or 2000. The 1998 model is more reliable and is the last year for a true volvo before everthing was switched over to FORD, some differences that are a major issue w/ the 99/00 models are that they have more computer modules in the electrical system wich is expensive to fix when they have issues(very oftern), some major issues w/ 99 / 00 models are the electronic throttle systems ($1200 repair which has to be done at a dealer) they go out and leave you stranded it should have been a major recall because it happens to all of them, another issue is the coil over plug ignition system wich is another expensive fix that you will have to repair sooner or later, the engines and transmission arent as strong ( I have replaced many transmissions wich require expensive fluid average $200 fluid flush volvo fluid) these are just some of many expensive repairs that are involved w/ a 1999 or 2000 model. The 1998 models have a mechanical throttle wich never has problems and the old style wires, cap, rotor, distributor ignition system( the less computers and electronic systems the better), the engines are noticable stronger and the transmissions seem to last longer and less expenseive to maintain (regular atf fluid) I strongly recomend you do your homework look up reviews and you will see that im right, this model is very reliable and is reasonable in parts and repair labor much less expensive over all compared to the 1999-2000 model. I own another 1998 wagon and I really enjoy it I have over 200k on it and it drives great and still very strong, the cargo space is great and can fit alot of items, its very safe in all weather (love the awd), please email me w/ any questions.
