Caveats first - - the body is pretty, is very straight but is not show quality. Honestly, from any distance, she is awesome looking. If you park this Ghia in the grocery store parking lot and some jerk says “hi” with a door ding, it won’t ruin your day, nor will it ruin Bella’s beauty. Where she is dramatically different - and a pure joy to drive, is in the fact that her performance advantage is quite something, given her birth year. When I bought her, about 400 miles ago, only 2,700 miles had elapsed on the clock of an all new Chico 2017cc CPR Engine. After my purchase, Chico (CHICO PERFORMANCE RACING) pulled the engine and did a complete engine out seal replacement, fine tuned the ignition and dual Weber 44 IDF carbs and checked valve adjustment. He then did multiple dyno pulls and further tuning, which produced 118 hp @ 5500 rpm). The dyno sheet is included in the records folder. Before reinstallation, a new Rancho Freeway Flyer tranny and a new clutch were added along with lots of CPR “eye & performance candy” engine upgrades. Regarding tranny performance, the stock gears one thru three, react quickly to the 4.11 rear end ratio, while 4th gear @ .82/1, on the street or the freeway, the resultant reduction in engine rpms, create “a walk in the park” condition, with great mpg! The sound from the new Vintage Speed exhaust system, which is considered to be the finest system in the world, is simply intoxicating!! She has perfect brakes, shocks, bushings & brand new tires (145 front & 165 rear). The battery is in perfect order and is always on a battery maintainer in my garage. Bella starts immediately, hot or cold, and quickly settles into an idle that is clean and smooth, yet absolutely hints of “something more”. I had the seats rebuilt before reinstalling the very attractive black and white upholstery which was selected by the previous owner. I installed a new “Nardi style” steering wheel, as it was my choice over the factory wheel, in both size and feel (both are included with car). The directional switch was replaced with a new OEM unit. Also included, is a new German canvas boot cover. There are no cuts or tears in the excellent canvas top. Ride quality is smooth and comfortable. No matter how I push Bella, there is no hint of instability, harshness, pulling or vibration - in turns or straight line running at any speed.
