For sale is a 1996 Jeep Cherokee Classic with a current PA inspection until April 2012. This would make a good winter vehicle or a good second vehicle for hauling and towing. The motor runs strong and smooth, and the transmission shifts well. The 4WD engages in all ranges. I have been getting a reliable 19-20 mpg in highway driving and an combined mileage of 17mpg averaged over more then a dozen tanks. Tires are good with plenty of tread left. It is equipped with Command-Trac 4WD. It has Fog lights installed with a factory switch. There is a Class I trailer hitch on the back. The exterior and interior are in good condition despite its age. There are a few stains and a little wear as you can see in the pictures and some sagging in the head liner. The vehicle was in a minor deer incident a few years ago and the front was professionally repaired. The floor pan and rockers have been recently patched, and the body is still solid. The passenger mirror is a little crooked. Air conditioning doesn't work right now, but it will put out plenty of heat. A front u-joint is clicking and may need replaced. The exhaust is in rough condition and needs repaired; it is causing a check-engine code from the downstream oxygen sensor. This Jeep is just a little maintenance away from many more years on the road.
