Up for bid is my 1959 Cadillac Series 63 Coupe DeVille. I've owned this car since 1989. My father and I drove it home. It was registered and on the road at the time of purchase. We brought the car home with the hopes of restoring it to its former glory. We removed the nose of the car and detailed the engine with new coat of paint, resealed the valve covers and performed a full tune up. We also went through the brake system. After doing such my family and I moved to another house. We did not have the facilities at the new house to continue the restoration. So the car was reassembled loosely and has been stored in a heated garage. If you look at the pictures you will see that the front seat is out. It is a six way power bench seat. I removed it reveal the condition of the floor pan. The passenger side floor exhibits some small holes. You will also see in the photos the really nice trunk pan. Having dealt with many of these vehicles that have lived on the east coast, over the years, this trunk pan is in really good shape. There are a few trimmed out holes and areas where patches have already been welded in. The rear quarter windows are currently removed from the vehicle. The power motors and regulators all work. The front door glass is good and they power up and down. The original radio comes with the car and it works. If you see any pieces missing in the photos don't be alarmed they come with the car. The only pieces that i'm missing are the side moldings. The car is currently running off of a remote fuel tank, due to the old fuel in the gas tank. It runs, drives and stops well, for a vehicle that has been sitting for almost 20 yrs. This car is not immune to the traditional rust spots that these cars end up with, after a lifetime spent on the east coast. The normal affected areas are, the lower front fenders, the inner and outer rockers and some spots on the rear quarters. This car deserves a new owner with the passion to restore it to its former glory. Opportunities to purchase these coupes in unrestored condition are drying up.
