FOR SALE IS A RARE 1966 MUSTANG SPRINT. THE SCHEDULED BUILD DATE WAS MAY 26, 1966. A COMPLETE RESTORATION THAT HAD TAKEN 2 YRS WAS COMPLETED MARCH OF THIS YEAR SO THE RESTORATION IS ONLY 8 MONTHS OLD.. THE RESTORATION WAS A COMPLETE CONCOURS RESTORATION AS THE PICTURES WILL SHOW. EVERY COMPONENT OF THE CAR WAS EITHER REBUILT OR REPLACED WITH 100% CONCOURS PARTS. THE RESORATION WAS DOCUMENTED THROUGH PICTURES WHICH ARE INCLUDED. NOT SEEN IN THE PICTURES, BUT THE HEATER BOX EVEN HAS AN ORIGINAL AND FUNCTIONING CARDBOARD PLENUM ATTACHED TO IT! THIS CAR IS ABSOLUTELY RUST FREE BOTH THE ENGINE AND THE TRANSMISSION WERE COMPLETELY PROFESSIONALLY REBUILT AND BOTH HAVE LESS THAN 500 MILES ON THEM. I HAVE RECEIPTS AVAILABLE ON REQUEST OF THE REBUILDS. THE CARBURETOR WAS THE ORIGINAL REBUILT BY PONY CARBURETOR. THE ORIGINAL WATER PUMP AND DISTRIBUTOR WERE PROFESSIONALLY REBUILT AS WELL. THE TIRES ARE COKER REPRODUCTIONS, GOODYEAR SILVERTOWN BIAS PLY, INCLUDING THE SPARE, AND ALSO HAVE LESS THAN 500 MILES ON THEM. THE PAINT IS COMPUTER MATCHED TO THE ORIGINAL EMBERGLO PAINT CODE V, ONLY 5% OF THE MUSTANGS PRODUCED IN 1966 WERE THIS COLOR. THE CAR HAS THE "B" CODE SPRINT PACKAGE TO INCLUDE THE CONSOLE, CHROME AIR CLEANER, WIRE SPOKE WHEELS, AND ACCENT STRIPE INSTEAD OF QUARTER PANEL TRIM. IT ALSO HAS THE C-4 AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION THAT CAME WITH THE SPRINT "B" PACKAGE. THE INTERIOR IS THE D-4 COLOR OPTION, PARCHMENT WITH EMBERGLO ACCENTS. THE DASH AND DOOR PANELS WERE PROFESSIONALLY DYED TO THE PROPER EMBERGLO COLOR. THE SEATBELTS WERE RESTORED BY DALLAS MUSTANG TO THE PROPER COLOR AS WELL. THIS CAR IS A TRUE SHOW CAR, IT PLACED IN ITS CLASS AT EVERY CAR SHOW IT ENTERED THIS YEAR. IN IT'S FIRST CAR SHOW AT THE LOCAL AACA CAR SHOW IT NOT ONLY WON FIRST PLACE IN ITS CLASS BUT BEST OF SHOW FOR THE PRODUCTION CLASS. TO DATE THE CAR HAS WON 4 FIRST PLACE, 3 SECOND PLACE, 2 THIRD PLACE AND THE BEST OF SHOW IN PRODUCTION. On Nov-15-11 at 18:53:11 PST, seller added the following information: I've had several questions about what on the car was replaced or restored. The original engine was rebuilt as well as the C-4 transmission. The drive shaft was replace with oem parts and new u-joints installed. The original differential was inspected, and new gear oil installed. The leaf springs are original and were inspected cleaned and re-installed. The entire front suspension, except for sway bar was replaced with new parts from mustangs unlimited. The entire brake system was replaced with new parts, and new stainless steel brake lines installed. All the wiring was replaced on the car except for the under dash wire harness, it was tested cleaned and reused. All electrical in the car works including the restored AM radio, and even the cigarette lighter. The radiator is an oem with the right part code stamped for a 66 6cylinder. The radiator was re cored. The distributor, water pump, and carburetor, are the original oem and were professionally rebuilt. The air cleaner is original oem. All the interior are high quality reproductions. The heater box was rebuilt and an original cardboard plenum in excellent condition installed. The fenders are oem with sheet metal repairs made to the common rust areas. The quarter panes are original with the bottom halves repaired. The hood is oem. The doors and trunk lid are reproductions. All exterior chrome is high quality concours grade reproductions. The hubcaps with spinners are excellent condition oem with part numbers still visible. All glass except windshield are oem.
