This is a stunning example of one beautiful CBX. It has low miles and has been well taken care of as evident of the original frame paint that looks 1-2 years old. I was a Honda motorcycle tech for 18 years and I used to uncrate these bikes when they were new. And to see one like this 32 years later in this condition is breathtaking. The body parts have been stripped and repainted to show quality. The carbs have been rebuilt and rejetted by Mike Nixon. And what a difference that made.A+++ The engine runs great.Starts right up hot or cold. The engine will idle at 600rpm cold with no choke. The engine has 165-170 lbs of compression in all cylinders and very little cam wear.Hard facing looks great. It has the complete sport kit and the original 79 422 pipes and 79 vb60 carbs. It has the normal clutch noise but one of the quieter 79's I've heard. All the wiring is original and has not been touched outside of replacing the main fuse with an updated version. It has never popped a fuse. The original fuse that was there was so old it broke in peices when I squeezed it. No rust in the fuel tank. The bike does not come with a owners manual but I will include the Honda shop manual only if the opening reserve is met. Everything works as it should. No excuses,stories,or things that need to be done. The bike runs great.It will lift the front wheel off the ground fairly easy. This is a trophy winner for sure.
