1962 Ford Galaxie Sunliner 390!!! Here is an absolutely beautiful 1962 Ford Galaxie Sunliner Convertible Big-Block 390 that is in excellent condition!!!! This 1962 Galaxie Resto-mod was restored ten years ago and has since had a mild refreshening. This gorgeous Galaxie features a high performance 390ci V8, 4 barrel carb, dual exhaust, headers, power brakes, power steering, power top, new convertible top and window, beautiful polished Torq Thrust wheels with new tires, nicely polished trim, a rust free body and a beautiful black paint job!!! There is LOTS of money that has been poured into this car over the last decade and it shows. The car has a great "muscle car idle, and sounds EXACTLY the way a muscle car should with its great sounding dual exhaust. This is 100% rust free Galaxie that has spent much of its life if not all of its in the dry desert southwest. This car has been very well cared for and it shows. These great convertibles are incredible values for the money. Where else can you get a big block 60s convertible for less than 20k? It would cost far more than that to duplicate this car!!! This is a great collectible classic that is surely to appreciate in value over the next several years!!! Click to enlarge Exterior: This Galaxie Sunliner looks great finished in Raven Black over tan combination sitting on a set of polished staggered Torq Thrust wheels. The car was recently painted and it looks great!!! When the car was painted, it was done properly. This car was fully disassembled and this was not a simple tape and shoot paint job. The fenders, hood, trunk etc... all came off for the paint job. The body work on the car is very nice and the body is laser straight. All of the rubber seals are in great condition. The undercarriage of this car is nice, clean and most importantly rust free. The exterior is really set off by the great looking wheels and all of the beautiful stainless trim. All of the chrome and trim is in very good condition as well. This is a car that you could bring to a local car show and show it with pride, or you could go on great long weekend drives in. Overall the exterior is in great shape. Click to enlarge Interior: The classic tan interior of this mustang is in very nice condition. The front and rear seats are free of rips and tears. The carpet is in nice shape as well and free of stains. The gauges are all in working order and look great. The power top works perfectly and features a new convertible top and back window. The original radio is present but not currently hooked up. My recommendation would be to add a modern stereo in the glove box because it would be sacrilege to cut up the dash, and lets face it, there just isnt much on AM radio anymore. Everything inside the car, all of the lights, signals and gauges work. Overall the interior of this car is in nice shape and is a great place to waste the weekend away. Click to enlarge Engine: The 390ci V8 fires right up and runs like a top. The engine was rebuilt at the time or restoration and hasnt covered more than 10k miles since. The Big Block 390 provides plenty of power and torque and emits a great V-8 soundtrack. The transmission shifts great and is in great working order. This car features power brakes which stops the car very well. Best of all there is no side to side pull while under braking. The engine sounds great with its "true" dual exhaust exiting under the rear valance. The car runs nice and cool even in Arizonas hot and dry climate. The car rides on a classic Torq Thrust wheel but in a modern 17 inch size with brand new tires. This car runs great and goes up and down the freeway with the top down with ease. This really is a great car to spend time in!
