1953 4 door Bel Air Chevrolet with a matching after market continental kit. This is a fine classic Chevy automobile that is an older restoration with 90,221 miles. I have owned this car for approximately ten years and it has been cared for extremely well. It is basically all original or restored to original dress. The car runs as good as it looks! I take it out for exercise on a weekly basis. It performs as it should. The exterior and interior show some normal wear for an older restoration, but this car is very presentable, as the pictures show, and turns heads wherever it goes. The stovebolt six is the original 235 engine with a three speed on the column. The engine runs excellent, very quiet and smooth. The engine burns NO oil, but the rear main seal allows a drop or so on the garage floor overnight after being driven. I have never had to add any oil between oil changes which occurs every six months. The original 6 volt system has been retained and every feature on this car works as it should except the first year option in 1953 of the automatic dimmer switch or more commonly known as the autotronic eye. The unit is all there, but it is the one thing that I have not addressed. I have the schematic drawing, but have not delved into as of yet. The exterior paint shows some wear and has some noticeable sun blistering on the hood, trunk and roof and minor scratches that are hardly noticeable from a short distance. The chrome is all good. Items that I have addressed since owning the car are as follows; New clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing and pilot bushing, new gas tank, gas gauge sending unit, fuel pump, vacuum advance, plugs, points, condenser and rebuilt carburetor, new heater motor and rebuilt heater core. I have done all the work and it has been done correctly. I have two complete extra radios that go with the auction sale. This is a fine automobile that has been maintained well for the last ten years. It has never seen the rain or bad weather since I have owned the car.
