Vehicle Detail

1970 Dodge Super Bee 1970 was the last of the really cool B-Body full size Muscle Cars in my eyes. This Dodge up for sale was made to look like a Super Bee. The Super Bee and the Coronet are the exact same body. This particular model came from the factory in Mopar black according to the V5X on the data tag. I presume this is a very rare car to come in black from the factory if I read the code properly. According to the previous owner this now Super Bee had only one repaint, and it was done in a very deep metallic forest green. It has the period correct vinyl top material, so I would say that it must be the original. In the short time that I've owned this car I've had several compliments of how it looks like such an elegant looking muscle car. The paint currently on the car was done in the 90's and still shows relatively well. I would state that this is a nice daily driver type of paint job. The stereo is a nice sounding detachable faceplate Sony AM/FM Cassette player. The glass is all in good condition, and the interior still shows well with only minor imperfections as seen in the pictures. New floor mats were just placed on the carpet for the new owner. The headlights, bright lights, tail lights, brake lights, license plate light, and all four corning lights work. This car even has the cool fender turn signals that both still work. The gas gauge works properly. I believe all the other gauges work except for the temperature gauge in the middle of the aftermarket gauges. The tachometer works correctly, but the speedometer will need to be recalibrated as it shows faster than the actual speed of travel. The chrome is all in nice drivers quality condition. This is one stunning classic car to see as it rolls down the road like a brute. I was told that the mileage on the body is correct, and that the engine is a built high performance 340 with solid lifters that has an Edelbrock performer aluminum intake manifold. The carberator is a Holley performance 650 double pumper. I was also told that this is not the numbers matching engine. The engine has Hooker headers with a performance dual Flowmaster exhaust system that really sounds sweet whenever you fire this badboy up. The transmission is a really fun to drive B&M ratcheting manual automatic floor shift kit that will burn rubber in all gears. This Mopar was built to not only look good, but to run with the best of them. This baby drives like a stick shift, but will also just get up and go if you leave it in 3rd gear as you're driving down the road. A newer Interstate Mega-Tron 875 cranking amp 75 month battery was recently installed. A set of very expensive 8.8 300+ Erro-Spiral race wires power up this Mopar for maximum spark. There is a well set up rear end that is all beefed up with latter bars. All the suspension is very tight! I can't say what gear ratio the rear end is, but it will cruise nicely at around 2000 rpm's doing 60. The Mopar wheels all have beauty trim rings with matching center caps. The front wheels have raised white lettered Firestone Firehawk P225/70R15's, and the rear wheels have P275/60R15 inch steel belted radials. All four tires have nice tread. The trunk has a new mat, and a detailed jack. The floors, trunk, and frame are all in surprisingly good condition, with just some minor repair needed on the crossover. The last owner always garage kept this car during his entire ownership. I've never known much about Mopars, as I am a 442 guy, but I can say that this Mopar had a great deal of time, money, and effort invested in it. This Bee really holds the road tight and steers down the street proudly. It was clearly set-up for drag racing, but will look nice just cruising around town or going to local car shows. I have only owned this car for a couple weeks, but the prior owner had it since the 90's. I came across this car in a trade with several other cars, and I have nowhere to store it for winter. This is your opportunity to own a B-Body Mopar for a very reasonable price. These cars have been known to keep escalating in value, and make a great investment. I've seen similar cars sell in excess of $50,000 at live auction. According to the Nada Classic Car Price Guide the 1970 SuperBee sells for $39,700 in high, $22,300 in average, and $13,100 in low condition. I'm not saying that this car is anything like a Barrett-Jackson museum piece, but if the next owner desires, he has a nice piece to restore into that quality. As I write a description I try to list everything I can think of, and show as many pictures as I can to accurately show the condition of the car for sale. If you feel I may have missed anything that you would like to know, please ask as many questions as you like. I pride myself in answering every question in explicit detail with the utmost honesty. Don't pass up this opportunity on a great bargain. Bid now and bid often! This is a no reserve auction, so kindly only bid what you are willing to spend. This car will sell to the highest bidder at 8:30pm Eastern, 7:30pm Central, and 5:30pm Pacific time on Sunday evening. Make sure to get all of your bids in prior to kick-off of the Pittsburgh Steelers/Baltimore Ravens Sunday Night Football game. Winning this Super Bee will give you something to talk about with your buddies during the officials reviews! Thank you for taking the time to preview this auction!! Good Luck and Happy Bidding!!!On Nov-02-11 at 21:18:09 PDT, seller added the following information: The fender tag reads as follows: L31 M21 R11 V5X 26 END V1W A01 A04 G33 H51 J25 FK5 H2K4 FK5 606 258482 E44 D31 WH23 G06 237362 On Nov-03-11 at 11:47:54 PDT, seller added the following information: FYI, I just got some information from a kind Mopar enthusiast. According to the codes apparently this car originally came in a beautiful dark burnt orange metallic color with black body stripes, and a white vinyl top. Although the owner prior to the previous owner that decided to change the original awesome color combination, I do believe he did another nice combination that you see listed above. Also, I found out that this car originally came with a 230 horsepower 318. I feel the engine upgrade was a wise choice as well. I hope this information helps with everyone's decision to bid on this classic Mopar. I want every potential winning bidder to be extremely knowledgeable and happy with their purchase.
