RELISTING - High Bidder could not complete transaction for medical reasons. 1968 chevy long bed 2wd truck. I am the second owner of this truck (I have the original owners manual), I have owned it since 1997. It has been sitting for a while due to transmission failure. I have enjoyed this truck for years and have always had intentions of restoring it, but I have recently purchased a much newer toy and have reluctantly decided to sell it. The truck was originally equipped with a 307 V8, powerglide automatic transmission and a 3.73 posi trac rear end. I have converted the truck to power steering, power brakes, dual exhaust and shortened the drive shaft to accommodate a 700r4 (overdrive) transmission. The truck is being listed WITHOUT an engine or transmission. As you can see, the body is fairly straight, there are some tiny pin holes rusted through on the passenger side of the bed and a few surface rust spots in other areas. It was repainted prior to me purchasing it and as you can see the paint is faded on the passenger side. The paint looks a little better in the pictures than it actually is. There are some rust issues in the interior kick panels and the upper lip of the firewall in the engine compartment. The original wood floor in the bed is starting to rot out and will need replaced. The windshield has a crack in it but I have a replacement that comes with it and I also will be providing new weather stripping kits for the doors. Purchaser will need to provide transportation, as stated before, the truck is not running. There is a mild built 350 that I have not started in a couple of years that could be negotiated for after the sell if interested. Thanks for looking. Mike
