You will not find another Ford Coupe with such low miles. Original Flathead V8. I purchased this beauty from an 80 year old gentlemen in Lyman, SC. Back in 1948, the Lyman Police Department ordered 5 Ford Super Deluxe Coupes installed with dual police spot lights. Ford Motor Company delivered 7 cars to the Police Department. What is to become of the two extra 1948 Ford Super Deluxe Coupes? The manager from the local Ford dealer purchased one and the Sheriff purchased the other. The previous owner purchased this beauty from the Sheriff. The Coupe is all Original, only the water pump and battery have been replaced. She drives wonderfully. Clear S.C. title. The interior is outstanding aside from small tear on the upholstery on the drivers side of the seat (see photo). I doubt anyone has ever occupied the back seat.Original 6 volt electrical system.The body is in original condition with no major flaws. Drivers side rocker panel area has a scratch and dent. ( see photo) It is solid, but has much patina around steering wheel.(see photo) - drive it and park it -- "no worries". It runs beautiful, runs cool, steering is excellent, clutch engages properly, transmission is perfect, it is surprisingly agile-- very nice to drive including freeways. All the gauges work properly, I have not tried the dual police spot lights. I have an 100% rating.
