For sale is a 1997 Volkswagen Jetta GL with 113,112 miles. I bought this vehicle from a lady in Connecticut. It still has a Connecticut title. It has a valid inspection sticker until February 2012. Overall, the vehicle is in descent shape for its age. I just charged the air conditioner so it blows ICE COLD. I will do my best to describe the flaws. Engine The engine runs excellent with no check engine light. It idles perfect. One of the pulleys makes a little noise. There seems to be an problem with the transmission. Or at least I think it's the transmission. The car runs and drives. It seems to run a lot better when the shifter is in between gears and not exactly on the gears R N D 1 2. I drove it around and it shifts rough from 1st gear into 2nd gear. Then it gets better as the gears go on, but it doesn's always do it. Sometimes its smooth and sometimes it rough. The trans fluid smells a little burnt. Exterior The exterior has its flaws. A few dings and a couple minor rust spots on the about the size of a quarter. The passenger side fender could use replacing. The driver's side mirror front face is missing. Also, the exhaust rattles a little. Interior The interior is in great shape. The driver's seat cusion is a little flattened. The spedometer doesn't work. There is a Sony Xplod 50w x 4 CD player. Tires All the tires have good tread. The two rear tires are practically brand new. They are Futura GLS Super Sport Tires P195/60/R14. No spare. Anyone is welcome to come see the car prior to bidding or buying.
