Up for sale is a 2000 Volvo V40 in nice shape. The V40 is Volvo excellent first foray into the compact sedan market. We particularly like wagon variants of the 40 series cars because they handle like they're small but haul like they're big. What's not to like? Once we had the V40 on the lift, we replaced the following items: lower control arm and lower control arm bushings, ball joints and engine oil. The brake pads looked like they have been recently replaced by the previous owner. This particular V40 is in nice cosmetic shape. There are few dings here and there, like the one on the hood, as seen in the pictures. The pictures below were taken right after we brought the car back from auction. No wash, no wax. We also cannot predict when a part will fail. Please factor this in to your purchase decision. Furthermore, as older used cars, our cars may have had body repairs or have been repainted in the past. If we believe these repairs were done poorly or below acceptable specification, we will note this in the auction. Finally, a word on rust: we visually inspect each car for rust holes in the body and undercarriage. However, we do not remove seats, carpets, axles, etc. during this inspection. "Visual" means just that: we look but don't poke. NO WARRANTY: Due to the age of most of our stock, we unfortunately cannot provide warranties for our cars without significantly raising our prices. We hope you understand. FEES: If you live in New Jersey, we are obligated to collect a 7% sales tax at delivery. Regardless of where you live, we charge a $149 processing fee, which is in addition to the final negotiated price or bid value on each of our cars.
