We are selling our early 1985 944. It has extensive updates and modifications. It is our weekend car and has never been raced or tracked. This car is very unique. Car was repainted just before we picked it up, paint is in very good condition. The engine was replaced in 2002, soon after our purchase. New engine from Huntley Racing (no longer in business) it is a 951(Turbo) engine with stage II heads and stage III crank, lightened flywheel, new clutch, Knife edged crankshaft etc. Complete list upon request. In 2005 we added a supercharger from Superchargers of Knoxville. The car responded very well to supercharging and is very fast. It is a professional installation. The Paxton supercharger produces 5 lbs of boost, but anyone willing to massage the boost could produce substantial increase in power. Boost was limited to 5 lbs for a Normally Aspirated car, but since this is a turbo engine it could take quite a bit more boost, as 12 lbs was standard on the 944 Turbo. Suspenion: Koni adjustable shocks, with Turbo front sway bar, drilled brake rotors. BBS 3 pc wheels with BFG Gforce KDW tires, 205/55/16 on front and 225/50/16 rear. Repainted before we got it in 2002, paint looks very good, with very few rock chips;etc. Added power sport seats from '93 968. We bought a Boxster S and would like to sell the 944 soon, as we lost our storage space. Mileage is estimated, as the odometer does not work. The A/C compressor also does not hold freon, but works when charged. Vehicle is sold as is, and buyer is responsible for shipping.
